The game I was afraid of was the first Gears of War. I only found it scary on the part where you first see the Berserker. It ripped the first Gear apart and I flipped the fuck out.

Scariest thing for me to watch though was Ghostbusters when I was a kid.

As a adult now, I just lol at the shit. But back then, those fucking dog demons scared the fuck out of me. I would either hide around the corner or crawl under the covers whenever they showed them.

First videogame i ever got realy REALY scared in a game was ''farcry instincts predator'' when i did the evolution story without cheats so there is this mission where youre out in a jungle and you met a bunch of geneticly mutated suicide bombers that makes a very high pitch sream when they are running aginst you and i run out of adrenaline witch you nead to use predator vision (a kind of night vision) and if you don't have predator vision it's REALY dark and so i run out of adrenalline...

i'll just need to confess, i was 19 when i played AvP2 the first time.... and i was scared shitless because i was playing in the dark.

same thing with the They Hunger mod (TH1, really) back when i was younger... again, in the dark. it's the ambiance. some games just do it really well.

scariest game for me would be Clive Barkers Undying. but hell in halo 1, i was agaist the same shit. i played halo 2 so i knew they would be coming. and i was scarred shitles i mean all the blood on the walls and all the destroyed shit....and when you get to the part where you find the flood, those little squig things, yeah they arent that bad but the combat forms were just.....ugh....

Halo Combat Evolved freaked me out at that part too... one of the best games I've ever played though. To bad it wouldn't work for a Mind Series, cause the main character talks in the cutsenes.

hint about the new AVP game, it fails, Helloween4545 is doing a let's play of it now, and it's SO much less scary and all of the campaign fails, only a few things redeem the Alien and Predator campaigns, I recommend, you rent it solely to see the crappy marine campaign
