  • dear plz tell me how i can copy files or folder in dos comand plz

  • how did you make the dos interface, i've been wanting to make one

  • hi can you make a version for x64 computers or make it run on my x64 system please?

  • @yappers4 no, I cannot. It's coded in 16 bit qbasic, for dos.

  • @jaywalker512

okie doke :P any program that will make 16 bit programs run on x64? I dislike x64 more n more each day

  • @yappers4 you could try running it in a DOS emulator like Dosbox, but I'm pretty sure they got rid of native 16 bit support on x64 versions of windows.

  • Hello i downloaded this and noticed it went to full screen, i would also like to do this with a batch file i have created my self, What is the proper code to force it into full screen and stay that way and act as though your in a dos prompt on lets say a floppy disk?

  • I don't know much batch code, so I couldn't say. This was written in Qbasic, not batch.

  • do you used C++ to code this thingy or converted bat to exe?

  • It's coded in Qbasic and compiled to exe.

  • dude this is the kind of computer I grew up with it kinda macks me happy to see this old dos computer

  • description ftw

  • can i have the download link

  • message me your email and ill send you the file.

  • it costs money to download so this is pointless...

  • huh? no it doesnt... its free... i give it to anyone that asks... learn to read.

  • oh lol can i have it dude?

  • whats ur email?

  • ill private message you

  • dude, but u can BOOT in to it

forward and diemention have made BATCH files lol

  • @csiew23

srry never mind u both made batch files lol

    never mind

    srry for spam

  • It wasnt meant to be some godly menu system...

  • Um, actually is a lol.exe made with Qbasic.... noob.

  • put it on rapidshare, you dont need an account

  • The link for the download is broken can you make a new one please

  • This looks like a batch file...Lol

  • yea i was wondering that

  • Could make it in notepad ;)

    Also the link is Broken

  • NOPE IT WORKS

  • and btw, i've made something similair for linux. u can download it at sjoerdonline . freehostia . com. but it's written in dutch and translators are welcome (program name is bigbar)

  • dude, get linux if u love text-based interfaces =D.

  • I miss DOS so much. :(

  • Hello, I love you operating system - I made one for DOS aswell! (Some time we should perhaps share ideas?)

My operating system is called \FIREWIRE/

    =D Check it out.

  • very nice :)

however i wouldnt really call either an OS, more or less just a menu system for DOS.

  • Hehe - Made a new one (And a version 2) This new one is 10x (or more) advanced. And it is all 1 batch. As soon as I get a DOS compiler I'll be set eh?

    ~Ye

  • i really like the look of it! but when i download it i can't open the .zip file, is there any other link so i can use this really good looking thing?

  • Sorry, but... QBasic? Thats just a compiled batch script... If people really needed an interfase for MSDos then they would go for windows 1.0+ or just emulate it with DOSbox or something like that.

  • im afraid qbasic is not "just a compiled batch script" and maybe someone doesnt want a resource hogging interface like windows?

  • It really looks like one. Aniways... i tried to download it to check it out myself, but the link to the download doesnt work.

  • you are going to have trouble finding a working qbasic compiler just readily available in a google search, since its not free. I spent a good 2 weeks trying different downloads and other stuff before I actually got all the stuff I needed to compile 16 bit dos apps with qbasic

  • I didnt mean a Qbasic compiler, i mean your compiled "Easy DOS" program. Followed the link in the video description... it led to a forum and the link was broken.

  • Interesting video. People still love DOS. I often play DOS-games on my mac.

  • i love dos... i have a cd with over 256 dos games on it

  • what verisons of linux use a command line

  • doesnt matter, this isnt written for linux. its for dos.

  • havent you ever heard of hyper cam?

  • hypercam sux u noob!

    ever heard of camstudio?!

  • Well you noob, he used a physical recorder... so stfu.

  • What's the point??

  • This looks waaaayyyy harder to use than DOS. Why not just learn the basic commands?

    ping.

    cd \.

    copy file c:\path\newfile.

    mkdir directory.

    exit.

  • thats the point behind this, the only thing you need to know how to do is read :p

  • THis is very cool, I needed a type of DOS on my XP to run certain applications (mostly games) so I got a free program dos-box, but you made your own which is really cool.

  • I want your monitor! xD And nice program!!

  • how did you get there? I know how to do everything else, just where do you go?

  • holy coq can i downlaod this program from somewhere?

  • is it batch files or did you program it with an assembler?

  • wrote it with qbasic

  • can i download it somewhere id love to have a look

  • You made EasyDos?

  • yes

  • nice job!

  • I did not learn anything from this video. You just read the instructions that were already on the screen. Do you think I can't read?

  • I made the program. I was just showing what it can do.

  • thanks for sharing!!

  • Nicely done...But I hope you are aware of the fact that DOS is obsolete?

  • it is obsolete in the respect that nobody uses it as a primary operating system anymore, but there are plenty of apps thats still require use of dos/dos mode like bios flashers, mbr utilities, and sometimes if your antivirus cant get rid of a nasty bug, you might have to go through dos to delete it manually, but yes i do know what you mean, i didnt make it to replace windows XD

thanks for the compliment though :)

  • yes, DOS itself is obsolete, but being able to navigate and configure a system via a CLI is priceless for a techie - cmd.exe, UNIX, cisco IOS, JunOS, those are all command line OS's.

  • cmd.exe is no a "command line OS" its just a shell for the windows NT core, it replaces command.exe from win95/98.

  • no shit, but you get my point though...

  • who doesnt shit lol jks just thought i would be stupid

  • nerd!

  • why yes, yes i am :D
