I'm playing this piece (only for a couple of weeks) and I think you might need more phrasing and less "pounding", don't bonk out the loud notes, emphasize them. Overall, you did an amazing job!

Great job, just the tempo that at least I like. I'm playing this piece right now, I just put the metaphorical Icing on the 3rd movement, starting up the 1st and 2nd. By far my favorite on youtube.

I must say good job to anyone who has the guts to play this piece, as people seem to be quite critical of playing style.

I have played this piece several times over the years, and honestly I like this speed. I don't have a copy of the music on hand, but as I recall, this speed is well within the range Kabalevsky wanted; in fact, I like this piece a little quicker!

Yet, I do have to agree: you need a great deal more artistic expression.

im sorry, but this is way too fast. like one of the people below me said, there are some great chords in here that she played through WAY too quickly. this is my favorite piece of music. i have played it at competitions and won with it. but she totally ruined it.

ok quite good............. have you learned the entire piece? im twelve and i learned THE WHOLE thing... not kidding....it took me like a year but it is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO worth it. if i were you i would take note of the staccatos. other than that its frikin AWESOME great job!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow, thank you! I 'learned' this piece many years ago as a kid, but only played it very slowly compared to this -- I had no idea how it was supposed to be played. I appreciate Kabalevsky all the more now after spending time in Russia, reading Dostoevsky, etc. Neat.
