  • whats the last song on the trailer? cant find it online

  • @jvolpe83 search on youtube for "The Thin Red Line" - Jisas Yu Holem Hand Blom Mi

  • whats the name of the 2nd to last song?

  • it sucks how they cut off a lot off footage in essence of time. they need to make an extended version with the extra footage cut out

  • US Z jew arabian french fucking a pig

  • US Z jew arabian french

  • As this trailer progresses, you can see the thin red line move along. :P

  • The song is called "God Yu Tekkem Laef Blong Mi"

Look it up on youtube, you'll find it.

  • theres something about that song that is uplifting how this movie doesnt get more attention when people mention great movies movies is a mystery to me

  • i meant when people mention great war movies

  • its jisas yu holem blong mi - god yu tekkem is different

  • @SeTi2k THANKYOU!!

  • wats the song in the end of the trailer called

  • How could Shakespeare In Love win over this? HOW?!

  • It doesn't matter. I saw both films and both were great.

  • FUCK Shakespeare in love that movie was a literal porno

  • gods only knows

  • lol george clooney was in this movie for almost 2 minutes and he got his name in the poster along with those who acted for 2 hours

  • dam i need to see this movie again i only remember the bit with the grenade accident

  • Comment removed

  • good movie with good actors and good soundtrack

  • A great movie i liked it how there wasnt really a main character but all cameo roles. When i first saw it i thought clooney would have a much longer role.

  • The shot of the wife writing "love?" (not sure) in the sand with her foot is not in the film.

  • this is the best war movie ever buetiful music and more <3

  • I prefer saving private ryan! But this is still a good movie.

  • Saving Private Ryan is a very superficial and shallow movie compared to The Thin Red line.

Maybe one day it will be re-edited with the scenes lost to keep it under three hours and then its full potential will be realized.

  • i wouldnt say it was superficial and shallow. it was not nearly as deep or poignant as this movie, but i did think it had it's moments. much more a war movie, as the thing red line was more a movie that takes place during a war, if you know what i mean.

  • This 3 min trailer has more substance and evokes more feelings than some of the garbage movies usually out in theaters. The Thin Red Line is simply a brilliant movie.

  • It is sad alot of good actors dont get any oscars for this movie.

I can only tell one reason why. Most Americans dont know their own History.

    It is a shame.

  • Could it also be that there were other great performances that year that deserved the awards more? This movie is only average anyway. 6/10.

  • That year this film competed with "Saving private Ryan" and "Shakespeare in love". Shakespeare in love won best film. Saving private Ryan won best directing. This film deserved at least best adapted screenplay, best photography, best editing or best music and won none. Other great performances? Who remembers "Shakespeare in love"? Saving private Ryan and/or The thin red line made cinema history. They in hindsight are the ones that most people remember and they made people realize the price of WW2

  • I thought the film was an extraordinary masterpiece of cinema, that truly transcended it's genre and medium. It's beautiful, tragic, engrossing, thought provoking, poetic, emotional, and intellectually satisfying. It's not only the quintessential anti-war film, but it is one of the quintessential films of the 20th century.

  • where can i find this music?

  • hmm...i've tried itunes but they dont have it, but limewire does

the songs called jisas yu holem blong mi

  • nice music

  • Hi Im desperatly searching the song between 1:30 and 2:00. I think Its the instrumental version of "God Yu Tekem Laef Blong Mi" but I can't find it. Anyone could help me ?

By the way, its the best film I ever saw.

  • me too!! i have the other version but i'm looking for the orcherstra one!!

  • This was not a movie...it was a religious and spiritual experience....the problem is, it is about 4 hours too short

  • can someone upload the full movie here?

  • Isn´t it easier if you just buy it? It´s not the same watching a film on a computer anyway, being interrupted all the time by chapters. Buying makes a statement. That way you show appreciation for the hard work put in the film. This film really deserves your full attention.

  • Whats the song at 1:34? can someone respond ASAP! Thanks

  • i want the song name from 2:00 till the end anyone knows it???

  • "The Thin Red Line" - Jisas Yu Holem Hand Blom Mi

    Good luck ;)

  • yea yea i found it :PP

  • NICE!! i hope i helped you with it , or did you already found out yourself ?

  • there wa sa video in here that it had that name and it ad the song polaying so it was the same time i heard that from mozgila u can download vids from u tube soo i downloaded it took out the music and made it mysefl :D but thanks ;)

  • Saving Private Ryan was a cartoon.

  • yea right... both movies are GR8!!!

  • Fucken masterpiece. Best film of the 1990s.

  • Beautiful film. And yes, great song. It's called "God U Tekem Laef Blong Mi".

  • i´v never cry when the batlle movie end..hm..

this is film about man´s heart in first place..

  • This movie is a masterpiece, i haven`t seen a better movie than this one. This is not just the best movie ,this is a wonderful piece of art. If the perfection exists than this movie is the perfection.

  • polynesian chants- hans zimmer

  • at the 1.37 mark please tell me the name of the song and the artist please

  • hans zimmer

  • is no hans zimmer is God U Tekem Laef Blong Mi by malanesian choirs

  • Anybody got a link that has a download to the song? It's awesome.

  • you can sarch in lime wire I download the song there.

  • Ares is also good for downloading.I havent seen the film yet....surely am after seing this trailer....

  • This movie is in my top twenty list. Great film with a weird dreamlike vibe.

  • never got the recognition it deserved

  • One of the Best war movie ever, the music just made the movie so much more emotional, the thoughts of each soldier makes u think how much we take for granted each day. Better movie then Saving Ryan's Private's. :)

  • Beautiful movie. A true look at the terror of war through the eyes of disenchanted soldiers.

  • Love this movie, everything about it is great, story, actors, soundtrack....amazing!! The trailer doesnt do the movie justice though. Anyone see the original 'Thin Red Line'? A little different to the remake, Witt actually lives, but he's a nutcase! :op

  • wath the hell are u talking about? Witt dies. they never find his body so the listes him as MIA. his dead.

  • The trailer does it justice. It's one of the best trailers I've ever seen. It might even be better than the movie.

  • best movie ever

  • Long movie

  • good movie

  • Fuckin awesome trailer!

  • MY BEST WAR MOVIE!!!!!!!!!!

  • The message behind is very important! Do you get it???

  • The reason, in my opinion, that this great film is so underrated is because it was in the shadows when Saving Private Ryan was running in theaters. This might not be the case, but probably.

  • No, people dont understand the message! No Golden Globe no Oscar this is a shame for USA!

  • One of the most underated war films of all time..

  • It's a different war movie than SPR, so it's hard to compare, but I do think this one is better. They both succeed, but at different things.

  • Unbelievable film, So so powerful. Very underated, never got the recognition it deserved.

  • There was a certain OTHER WWII film that came out that year from a more commercial direction, and one too many people got on Malick's case for the changes that he made to Jones' prose.

Which is a shame, I'm told. Own it. Definitely must watch it someday.

  • The song in 1.36 is a melanesian choir and its called Jisas Yu holem hand blong mi, thats why its not on the soundtrack

  • It's on the soundtrack. I have it.

  • It's on the 'Melanesian Choirs (Original Soundtrack): Chants from the Thin Red Line'. Hope that helps. :)

  • yea, i gott the soundtrack but the song aint there :/.

  • same here oherregud, its the song from the very end of the movie when *cough* can't say what happens... i freakin can't find it but i know its like han zimmer or something

  • damn i want the song in 1:36

  • good movie

  • this movie speaks to you in ways that other war films havnt been able to do, i first saw this movie when i was 12 and ever since then i looked at the world differantly i went fromt he black and white war movies to saving privte ryane to this one the black and white films glorified war saving private ryane around 12 also it scared me but left no real outlook on anything, this movie bothered me and opened my eyes to the point of wating it many many many times every time i watch it i fel the same

  • fantastic film. its hard to compare all types of war films ithink because it depends on what kind of war film they are. like for example can you compare somthing like jarrhead with no battle in it to somthing like spr or the thin red line or even downfall which is one of the best ww2 war films imo

  • I never saw this movie, But it looks very interesting... I'll have to watch it. It looks sad...

  • Best war movei forever and ever.

  • klowndbp:

Yes I do... PM me your email and I will send it to you.

  • could you send it to me please?

  • 1:36 start..is wt song?

    who can help

  • You are completeley wright, have you also read the book? Its also great

  • This is the greatest war film ever made. Atleast in my opinion.

I'v seen them all, and the only one that compares, is "Apocalypse Now." :)

  • ive seen this, BOB, apocalypse now, SPR, Schindlers list, etc. And I have to say regardless of it's undeveloped characters The Thin Red Line is the my favorite war and just movie of all time, followed closely by BOB and Three Kings.

  • Oh and this movie was good but it felt unfinished. There was not much of a story to the film and the characters were undeveloped. This movie had great potential. Saving Private Ryan is better that this movie. Saving private ryan is the best war film.

  • thats because mallick was forced to heavily edit by the studio for theatrical release, thank fox and the producers for this, there is an unedited version but it would be like 5 hours long

  • u guys are dumbfucks. the only reason u guys are saying saving private ryan sucks is cuz everyone says its a great movie but u fags just wanna disagree with everyone cuz u guys think ur so cool and shit. fucking fags

  • No, its because we have a brain, TRL as a much deeper message than SPR. Its not a war movie, its a movie about men in War. Thats all the difference. If u can't get it got back to your Rambo movies with no message behind them, just showing war cause Americans like it

  • best war film ever.

  • Song- Jisas yu holem hand blong mi

  • it sucks it isn't on the soundtrack, doe someone know wich song it is

  • When trailers are released its usually before the score is finished/recorded so they use generic music or take it from another movie, so what you're looking for is probably from another movie's score.

  • they released a cd with just melanesian religious choirs. it's called "the blessed islands". you can find all the choirs from the movie and others by those natives on it.

  • Maybe if you pair your eyes with imdb you could spell people's names correctly.

  • Ridley Scott is not a household name

  • he is in my house

  • Terrance Malick directs beautifully shot, well acted films held back by disjointed storytelling and boring paces, thsi being one of them. Too bad, he's got some talent. It's no wonder his films get critical acclaim, but he never makes a big box office splash. If he can pair his artistic talent with summer blockbuster action and accessibility, maybe he'll become a household name like Spielburg, Ridley Scott and George Lucas.

  • Best film ever!!!

  • This film IS great. I can only describe it as a strong and believable film of war with a poetic script.

  • I did not see this movie , but it looks great.

And the best war movie is Band of Brothers ( ok it's not a movie, it's a mini series.....But it kicks ASS......Full Metal Jacket is a good one too......but i agree with most of you guys.....saving private ryan sucks.

  • Your the first i've heard who likes BOB but hates private ryan

  • BOB is great because they had nine fucking hours to develop the story. Full Metal Jacket is like two movies in one, the first half is good and the second is awful.

  • I love this film!

do you know the title of the song that starts at 1.29 till 2.01? I know the title of the last one, that is "Yu holem hand blog me"... but i was looking for the orcherstra version.

  • For some fucked reason they excluded that song from the soundtrack, and its impossible to find any mention of it anywhere.

  • I have the extended version of the score and can send you a copy of this song if you would like... just shoot me a message.

  • Hey, do you still have that extended version? Ive been looking for that song everywhere.

  • its good to see that the trailer for this actually represented what the film was (except for the fact that george clooney entire part is pretty much the clip in the trailer ha). i think they messed up with new world and tried to sell it as an action film.

  • Great movie, great trailer.

Most trailers suck, so you can notice when it's good !

  • are you guys kidding me! the best war film ever is DELTA FARCE with Larry the Cable Guy!!!!

  • saving private ryan sucked. thin red line was awesome

  • saving private ryan isn't anywhere close to being number 1...

  • nah "The Pianist" is definetly on the top list as well

  • No. It's still "The Thin Red Line." The second would be "Apocalypse Now." Then the third would probably be "Letters from Iwo Jima", and "Pan's Labyrinth." "Grave on the fireflies", and "Full Metal Jacket" would also be on my list. With "Platoon", and "Patton." :)

  • Schindler's List is the best, followed by SPR. Pan's Labyrinth is half war half fantasy and the war part sucked. Thin Red Line is a terrific film but I think it has too many characters so they're all left undeveloped. I'd say its the best war film set in the Pacific campaign

  • beh

  • Schindler's List isn't a war film

  • hey dude, the best film about war is ""saving private ryan""

  • This is the greatest war film ever made. :)
