I recently shot art for a local artist indoors using a table level with the center of the artwork as a tripod. with a d80. and some were off angle a bit. after i run em through photoshop ill find out how good indoors did. some shot through glass too looked like they came out good because those wern't off angle

make sure the setting is the BEASST... lol I totally agree I shoot raw. ;)

Tripod, indoors is the most efficient way to photograph paintings. Not outside as the video suggest.
