@Rubikorigami It's an test mixture not made anywhere-- A science experiment. I was just playing with gases and thought the little flags and the straight floating rays looked pretty enough to film. I'm glad you like how it looks. Wayne Strattman with Strattman Design in Boston is very good with plasma and might be able to fill a globe like this one. In about a year or two it is possible you might see commercial gobes for sale like this one made in Asia.
Thanks. The haze is actually hundreds of tiny microfilaments of corona discharge that look like St. Elmo's Fire, but the upload resolution is too low for them to show up here. After all the wild and frantic mixtures I made, I wanted to try something more peaceful and serene.
C'est bizarre: les décharges ne s'"attachent" pas au doigt comme dans les autres boules, ils envoient des filaments corona!
