i was there. and i remember it mainly because the first (of three!) support act was an unknown student band called Coldplay - they had only just released Blue Room EP - never thought they'd go on to be so huge. Yep at the time this was perhaps the best way to hear Love cos Arthur was in jail!

Love were the best man, seeing Arthur do the whole of Forever Changes with Baby Lemonade in Glasgow will go with me to the grave.Best gig ever.Peace bro.
Personally I hope they'll play Willow Willow or something off Real to Reel (1974 LoVE album on the RSO label)like Time Is Like A River
Dunno if Echols is doing the UK tour though - hes one of the few surviving members of LoVE (along with Snoopy, Michael Stuart, and (possibly) Tjay Cantrelli)
Well there's certainly no fucking point saying "Pity he's a scouser" on a vid that's obviously gonna be frequented by scousers. You had the insults coming to you, dumb fuck.
The "Pity he's a scouser" comment was a playful dig at our local 'rivals'( I'm a scummy Manc, see.), but you seem to be the only fucker who thought otherwise! So, go and suck a pigs cock, you tit!.
Ryan you docile fuckwit, what does it matter if I know any scousers, you nonsense talking dog-shagger!Music is meant to break down barriers, not erect them u prick!

shack were the closest thing to the original love
ask arthur thats what he said to them
singin isnt up 2 scratch thats all
hypanova116 3 years ago
Until Baby Lemonade of course ;)
I first saw Love (well, Das Daman) in NYC in the early 90s backing Arthur.. good show
But to see Love doing Forever Changes with an orchestra in Brooklyn.. oh man.. Not to mention Stephanie, Rainbow in the storm.. Oh man..
I just wish I could've seen Arthur and Bryan playing the Whisky in the late 70s when Bryans band (with Maria McKee) was opening for Arthur!

No, Tjay Cantrelli died. I think sometime in the 80s or 90s actually.

One great artist and some great musicians show show love and respect to one of their biggest influences. Doesn't get much better than this.
Michael Head is an unrecognised genius; pity he's a scouser. ;)
