@XxRawrNivlaxX This was the movie version released before the drama. That is why Aya and her mother in the movie appear in the drama as Asumi and Asumi's mother at the disability school. This movie is a retelling of the diary while the drama is a modern adaptation of the diary with romance elements included.

I just finished episode 11 of 1 Litre of Tears... After the requiem of her playing basketball and being able to move freely and being happy and all with her friends... then seeing the hospital scene right after that with her parents.... I just teared a litre of tears up until now. T_T

after I watched the movie, I couldn't watch the Drama, because I cried from the first moment in the movie untill its end. It took me 2 days to watch it, and then a week to relax. So if I had known before, I would have watched the Drama first, and then the movie T_T

@ALina1441 I can tell it's more real then the Drama version. I've seen the Drama first before the Movie. The Drama is more of a Melodrama. And I bet they use a fiction story of that boy and his brother to add in the series to make it more dramatic. They are both good. But I think The movie did it more realistic and promising to the real story

As much as the drama is based on the real story, the guy was never there in the first place. It was added into the drama in order to add a romance theme. Therefore saying that the boy and his brother (their history) was probably bit melodramatic is quite inaccurate as they weren't simply there in the first place ;S

well just think to yourself that these are two different Aya's the Drama Aya is Aya Ikeuchi and the Movie Aya is Aya Kitou and just to let you know, this Aya played as Aya's senior at the disability school... even though the Aya's are based on the same person but their storylines are different ^^

The story is amazing, plus it is based on a real story, and plus Erika´s acting (not to neglect that) made me cried like hell.

After watching this, I thought, that I would doubt myself to have such a courage and willing to live like Aya had. She is really admireable.

Somehow this story reminds us our selfishness .... we often do not pay attention to others who are suffering... we turn our heads the other way when we see handicapped people.....perhaps we have lost our compassion in this materialistic world...taking granted so many things, simple things sucha s walking, eating, drinking, talking...yet some unfortunate folks can't even do these on a day to day basis... I hope Aya's courage will inspire us to be better persons ... more humane...

She's the girl who plays Asumi in the drama. and you shouldn't compare between Erika and Asae because they are different in terms of acting. This story is based on the girls life, you should just listen to the story
