its funny how 5 minutes really isn't that long but watching this video i was thinnking... good heavens i take so long to saddle! then i looked at the time and i was like.... oh ha

From what I have heard rope cinches arent very good quality- my lesson teacher, when she was younger, she was riding with a rope cinch and the cinch snapped

@spirit1435 They aren't the best, but you've got to work with what you've got, and its a brand new cinch and i take very good care of it, its pretty thick, high quality material, so i think ill be ok lol

WOW penny acts very nice. my old pony Kisshu just shut up and kiss me or Kisshu for short, would NEVER stand still. He acutely would so this just for fun. I dont think my friend did a very good job or training him. what do you say?

@MewSilverGold haha she has her evil moments but she is a very good horse lol And some horses are just jittery. you could try doing some trust time exercises with him or something lol every time my colt moves when i dont want him to i make him back up

@dlugofamily yup two girths lol. i can't stand only having one lol i only have one and no breast collar on my new saddle and it feels wierd to only ride with one cinch lol i like having two girths and a breast collar to hold the saddle on better.

@Pumba1223 i picked her hooves before I did the video and I had brushed her belly earlier that day. I groom them at least twice a day (especially during the summer when I have the time)

You should invest in a 5 star pad, You can get a new one at a saddle shop close to me for 170. You can get a thick one to take the place of all your pads!

I ride my horse western too. Your horse takes the bit way easier than my horse!! With mine you have to like stick your whole thomb in her mouth until she FINALLY takes it!!

@horsekidanna lol! she is way good at taking the bit. My colt doesn't take it, even when I shove my thumb in his mouth! lol I hav to hold a treat in my hand under his nose and when he opens his teeth to take it, i shove the bit in lol. i hate doing that though because i don't want him to get like treat-greedy lol.

@follmerhorse ha its pretty easy, the saddles are a lot heavier than an english saddle though! lol and theres a lot more to buckle up

i dont seem to understand how u people can get that huge saddle on a horse. im used to a english saddle. they weigh a lot less than those. my grandmother told me to stick a western saddle on one of my horses it took me 30 minutes to stick it on. lol.

@dillenrocksyep yup i did. lol and she is pure Quarter Horse. She not a modern looking quarter horse, she looks like older style, long legged and long bodied like a thoroughbred. lol. she has incredible conformation, its not perfect, but its pretty good lol. and an arab paint? thats awesome!

I know :) Its really good for me because im not very good at getting a bit-stubborn horse to take the bit :) His previous owner is an AMAZING horseman. Just his whole manner with horses was so gentle and sweet that they really truly wanted to be with him. When he's around horses he is quiet and respects their boundaries and such. I give all my thanks to him, she is an AMAZING animal.

its ok :) i was really sad for the first few weeks. it upset me most because he was killed by a mountain lion while we were camping. But hes in a better place, plus he was old, so im fine with it now :) im excited for ya, though. I hope you get to have tons of fun adventures with your pony :)
