@scottishlad1987 You should get some cycle training, as you are putting yourself at risk by riding too far to the side of the road. In the UK it's not only legal but recommended to take the lane in "primary position" to increase your visibility to other road users; who must only pass you when safe to do so, leaving as much room as they would a car.
Being a cyclist yourself, I'm surprised you don't know all this, as it's pretty basic stuff they teach at primary school level cycle training.

@lacoste10156 Hey man. No such thing as road tax (abolished in 1937), it is VED(Vehicle Exercise Duty) which car/ tractor/ van etc users pay for their emissions that damage the environment. Since cyclists, electric cars, horses, etc, dont produce emissions then they don't pay VED. We all pay for roads out of our council tax and none actually come out of VED. Pretty sure this would have been mentioned already...

The 225/40/18 Eagle F1s on my car were £110 a each, and they are fairly expensive, your average driver pays £40-£80 per tire. The tires on my bikes cost between £40 and £55 each, which is in that same price range.

@mpdewd2 i will add i have seen people on bikes ride through re lights at intersections, move in front of a car to make their turn but while there going 20km/hr the car they just moved in front of with out looking is doing 80k. i have seen bikes cruising on the highway during peek hour pretty much close down a lane because there going too slow. i've seen a guy on a bike try to cut up the between the lanes at a red light only to take some ones side mirror off or scratch the side of the car.
