@DeathProg In my defense, there's a little bit of lag between what I see, what I hear, and when I press when recording; a major handicap in rhythm games :P
this and amplitude are still much better than guitar hero, and when i say better than guitar hero i mean the ones i actually liked (the ones made by harmonix and not craptivision)
Ever since I stopped playing this game, I lost my sense of rhythm... I also stopped having the optical illusion that everything was floating upwards...
I completely agree! I've tried showing this game to friends of mine who love Guitar Hero, and they say this is the crappiest game ever. Hardly anyone these days appreciates Harmonix's humble beginnings.
The Rythm-Action genre, yes. But I meant the Guitar Hero and Rock Band franchises. The original idea for Frequency was not a videogame at all, its creator (I forgot his name) wanted to invent an instrument that wasn't hard to learn to play. This however, was the end result. On another point, If you look at footage of Tempest 2000 you might see similaraties. The influence for Frequency?
@Kousaburo :P i kept hearing about Frequency i play Amplitude might go pick this game up tho since beat Amp on Insane with the bonus . lots people said this one is way harder so hopeing for it ^^
ahh man, tobad i couldnt find the full version of this game when i had the demo (came with the ps2 networking guide that came with the network adapter). but the demo was good, but only 4 songs
That's almost exactly how I would have played it. :) love building it up like that. I hate when people just post videos of them using the one-button win.
Wow, I used to love this game... but none of my friends have ever heard of it... I think I might dust off my copy and play a few rounds after watching this. :-)
this game will always be the shit

Honestly, I would love if HMX could do other games like FreQuency and Amplitude. I think I even preferred those games to GH and RB

FreQuency music was more Underground, I liked that. Amplitude was also tight but music was more mainstream

Ah, the good old days. I bet most of the people who play Guitar Hero and Rock Band today have no idea that Frequency is where it all began.

@HuntersX2NCreations Guitar Freaks from Konami was the influence for Guitar Hero. The dynamics of GH has similarities can be seen here.
