Who needs bible dribble when you can just watch "A Bug's Life" instead? This movie says a lot about God. "A Bug's Life" is an economical church. They don't pass you a basket at the end of their broadway ego parade and demand you to put out.
To get to Heaven, forget the broad way show. Take the narrow way instead -- the fine balance between love and reason.
Lasseteer the Musketeer, keep on lassoing that bull! Great job on sneaking it under the wire, rodeo clown.
I kindly invite you to explain publicly why in 2004 you have hidden to the Judiciary District of Ragusa, managed by Commissioner Doctor Agostino Fera, the bank account 10/645629 owned by Mrs Campo Innocenza Maria and why you have never answered to the exposals of denunciation dated 30th December 2009 and instead you have let us wait so many years without answering and let Mrs Innocenza Maria die in the pain that someone has when deprived of all her money
He is amazing. I think I'm just like him. I designed my dream house just like that but a little more creative. I want to direct a Pixar film and work at Pixar for a living when I'm older. I love all the work Pixar does and this just helps make people appreciate the movies more by seeing how much FUN and effort that they actually put into making these films. THANKS PIXAR
And yes - it's not surprising that anyone who wants to continue working for Pixar wouldn't refused a hug from Lasseter. Let's hope when he sees this back he realizes how transparent and inappropriate his behavior is.
The great John Lasseter has been a hero figure of mine for many years but I'm sad to say that this video has spoiled my opinion of him. Let's hope it was just edited badly
"I'm the pot of gold" - didn't quite seem ironic enough, Mr Lasseter but that's for the times you gave me
I don't think I was alone in the opinion that Cars (2006) was the weakest Pixar film to date at the time (although it has grown on me over the years). Everything they've done since then have been consistent masterpieces (the very thought of Toy Story 3 makes me well up).
However, if we can spare at thought for the children for just a second, I've been teaching under-12s for the last 4 years and know how much kids seem to love that set of characters (even if I don't agree!) so why not Cars 2?
Yup. I worked for a few studios in L.A. and found out how much money is invested in making movies and a lot money rides on shows that nobody knows will flop or not. Some studios just make enough money to pay of loans used to create some shows to make just enough to get another loan for the next show. All those computers and render farms do not come cheap. John Lasseter doesn't get payed to day dream all day as most may think. There is a lot of stress involved too.
I see a lot of negative comments, from ppl who clearly knows nothing about production. you guys really don't know how much time and effect goes into making something like this.
@SimeonStephensonTv I think people are irritated because they know how much time and EFFORT is put into production, because those two things have clearly been contributing to the wrong output. They're irritated by the fact that Lasseter and Co keep beating a dead horse on something that they know won't be up to par in terms of Pixar standards.
The fact is Cars might the Pixar's movie that earns a lot of money, more than any other pixar's movie. So I guess Cars 2 is nothing more that a under-quality product only made to bring money. So I just dont believe what we were watching out there and I'm pretty sure that all of the other excellent pixar's movies (walle, up, and some short movies) weren't made this way but in a completely different atmosphere. This short documentary is only here to promote Cars 2. I hope we won't have any other
@Kakeb141 Toy Story supposedly got negative reviews too. I havent seen Cars 2, but the first has grown on me. There's very little that Pixar's done that isnt marketable-even the behind the scenes DVD features. Marketing has to be done, but so long as this doc's good, I could care less about it's purpose.
How lovely!!!...The nice PR Disney people decided to remove the "show off" opener of this video because it had so many negative comments!...Bad job, guys, bad job!!!!
Yeah, don't worry, i know you'll erase my comment too!
what an annoying show off. I'm betting most of the people who work with him cringe when they have to do the hug. I'm also betting Pixar's films would be just fine without him micro-managing everyone; how I'd loathe working for such a turd.
wow that's depressing... the guy has a personal trainer and works out every morning from 5:30 till 7 and yet he still looks overweight and unfit... what hope do i have? :(
@Verbloten Some people are just built that way. And there's a lot more to excercising than just weight. and maybe he only started recently? Oh, and let's factor in not how much food, but what kinds of foods he eats. It's very complicated.
It would appear that he is spending all of his time on his toys and little pet Pixar projects instead of cleaning house of the Wall Street-type scumbags that are lingering from the backwards Eisner years at TWDC.
I have stopped throwing my money away on Disney anything because they keep making terrible choices and stifling creativity and oinnovation rather then practicing it. If anybody disagrees with me then I have two words for you.
This is nothing but a 30 minute commercial for Cars 2. Once again Disney mis-allocating resources to their marketing department to cover-up the inadequecies of their other properties. Additionally, it is no wonder that WDI and the parks are still disfunctional and decaying. He would appear that he is spending all of his time on his toys and little pet Pixar projects instead of cleaning house of the Wall Street-type scumbags that are lingering from the backwards Eisner years at TWDC.
@happyfatties5000 But that wasnt Brad Bird. He wasnt involved. And another of Pixar's claims was they didnt inherently care if people liked their movies; it's the films they wanted to see that got made. A dated statement, but one many directors(*cough*peterjackson*cough*) used to defend way worse films. Yes, I do take that with a grain of salt, but fact is: You dont work there and neither do I; neither of us can read minds, so we can only speculate.
@robdavy 25 years ago is when Pixar was founded. They didn't start with Toy Story. First they were making short films and TV commercials before they moved on to full-length animation.
What a cheeseball! He has a personal trainer called Dante, trains 1,5 hours every morning and are still... well... not exactly in shape. But hey, he is a legend!
John really is the 21st century version of Walt Disney. It's not just the results on film that I'm talking about, either. It's the same passion and attitude in every part of his life that makes it clear he's a similar kind of genius. It's fitting that he eventually got to take control of all of Disney's animation. There's no better choice out there.
@HotPocketsBoy - You're confusing the very talented folks with the geniuses who tap their potential. Walt Disney had Ub Iwerks, Steve Jobs had Avie Tevanian & Jonny Ives, and Lasseter has Brad Bird, Pete Doctor, and Lee Unkrich (along with many, many others for all 3 of those men).
Saying that Toryiama or even Miyazaki are "better" misses the point. You're mixing up coaches and quarterbacks. Comparing them doesn't make sense. When I said Lasseter was a modern Walt Disney I meant exactly that.
This reminds me of a gag by Bosc, were a man shows all his posesions to his poor neighbour who answers showing his "derriere" to him saying "Mon cul!"
@lickmyfurrytoes Really? He could work on being "funnier and awesomer"? .. The dude made Toy Story! That alone makes him one of the most awesome and funny people in the world.
@thomaserex i guess but i've made groups of people honestly roll of the floor laughing i almost made a chick pee her pants once, i just think that i could do a better job in my own personal opinion
I love pixar films, but I don't believe that this man exercises and eats fruit every day.
