No hate here, I am a huge A7X fan, but I gotta say, Panteras version of Mouth for War is a lot better than A7X's version, because Shadows just sounds like shit during this song, and Phil Anselmo sounds a lot better. And Dimebag Darrell was alone during this song, granted when Syn plays this solo, it sounds great, but the combined guitars make it sound bad, especially in drop d tuning, pantera tunes in standard. No hate, im a huge a7x fan, one bad song

I saw this live at the golden gods awards not too long ago. the guitar tone sounds bad in the recording but it was great live. im not an a7z fan i was going to leave since they were the last band but my gf wanted to hear them and i heard this from outside on the smoking patio so i came back in and listened it was really a great cover. theyre not an emo band but theyre not exactly a metal band either. metal doesnt use harmony solos and so on but theyre good at what they do ill give them that.

@CityofEvil15 you don't have to sound like your influence to be metal. take death and morbid angel for instance. their influences are the old thrash metal bands from bay area and yet they do not sound anything like them(well maybe their first albums do). as for avenged, yes they do not sound like pantera which proves their creativity hence they get recognitions from other bands, but from a metalhead standpoint, they don't sound like metal.

@Cantrell907 im not gonna say who their better or worse than cause its really an apples & oranges comparison, but this is not three days grace we're talking about. avenged writes complex, technical songs, the only difference is they sing on top of it and not scream, and thats why they are able to be a mainstream band. and then the fact that they are able to replicate it live, they really are brilliant musicians, and thats one thing no one can rightly take away from them.
