just wondering but i just recently purchased a 2011 macbook pro. First week of use was perfect but as time went on i noticed a slight hum from the fans is that normal?? p.s. sorry this is my first notebook/laptop and i do have limited knowledge on computers. thank you.

@fatalkill101 Its fine, I dont think it sounds like a big issue, but if your still need peace of mind just contact Apple. Remember you got a years warranty standard so if there is a problem they will take care of it, if not then you have ease of mind.

@xToXiicxT3RRoRx not if you're a gfx artist, video editor, web developer, work in Hollywood buddy. You'll never see a PC other than if it was using linux. Windows is honestly the slowest of ANY OS out there, windows is forced upon you, there is better "free" programs than Microsoft office(since 2003 it's just crap..)

The macbooks have the best build for any laptop unless we're talking about toughbooks.

Id advise to save up for a bit longer and definetly buy a mac. I bought one and I think i'm never going back to PC or windows again... I'm not saying it's that powerful of a computer, but it's so simple and stress free that you'll quickly forget about any PC. And my nerves are worth more than those 400 eur you give more for a 13" mac than an HP :P
