  • some people are saying he doesnt look and good, first off he is 46, your body isnt like it was when youre 35 years old, and secondly he is juice free. u just cant look as impressive without them, usually because u cant achieve the same size, but thats life. if u compare darin to every other 46 year old he is in 20 times better shape than 99% of the male population.     Some feedback I would give is to work on the definition of your calves a little in order to add that oomph to your display. It would help to compliment the upper half you have worked so well on.

  • Yes I must agree you look great, especially for your age. Upper body extremely cut, lower body needs to be more cut. It is harder at that age, but I KNOW you can do it. Once you get the lower body more cut you will be unstoppable. :) You are a great motivation sir.

  • i started watching all your videos about a month ago i really like how you speak the truth and explain everything really clearly about what to eat and whats best. I am currently deployed so i only have about an hour a day to work out but I learned from you how to eat right so even one hour a day is enough.   • Darren you're in good shape man. A few points:

    - I can even see striations in the triceps themselves @ 1:08 that is a good shot you should use/hold that!

    - In general, you got some great arms. That bicep peak, especially on your left arm, is huge. Show that off a bit when on stage!

    - Very nice christmas tree as well

    - I don't know what it is with your legs, honestly. The mass is there, but somehow the legs seem to still hold quite some fat/water, while upper body=ripped. I don't get it.

    Maybe it's also the video compression making the legs look not as ripped as they are in reality. I just don't get it. Furthermore: nice tan. Nice and balanced.

    One big tip: 2:08 your favourite pose, your left lat is not coming out to the side enough. This makes it look a-symmetrical, make sure it comes out as far as possible, like your right lat.

    P.S. I'm not a judge, I'm way smaller than you, but if I can see it, judges can too :) Just saying. At last: Best of luck Darren!!!

The lighting in this room isn't great for posing, and that's why it's a little hard to see the legs, but I'm sure when you're onstage the visibility will be clear. Hope you take the title!

  • Lookin good Darin! I would say that your legs could have used a little more size and try to thin them out a bit more. Make sure that you are incorporating your legs in each pose, especially your calves. It looks much more impressive if you have your legs flexed with the normal poses.   • Great all around job but your calves can use a little defining. its not a noticeable issue but because I body build for health reasons I catch the little things. Other than that keep up the great work, you look younger than some people my age and I am 25.

  • I see a small mistake in posing , over rounding of the back in the back pose keep the shoulders back 3:55 and the muscles will look rounder and fuller , Looking great tho. good luck champ !!

  • It could be the bad lighting in there, but when doing your back poses, try not to keep your sternum high, like you do when you do your front poses. It puts too much shadow on your back, which is by far your best feature. If you point your chest out when doing back poses, light won't hit your back like it should.
