Not bad. I admit that did not sound good in the beginning, but sure looked good in the end. Thanks for the recipe and tips on the fire management. Where can I get one of those trivets?
This is easily one of the best cooking videos I've ever seen at any time. Thanks for showing us this and for so clearly demonstrating proper heat management with a fire and coals.
I enjoyed your video very much ans subscribed to your channel. I just finshed making a trivet and a dutch oven lid tool out of rebar and some 1/2 inch round stock. I cook outdoors during fieldwork season. A whole chicken will cook completely in 60 minutes if you debone and cut into pieces. After eating a hot lunch at noon, the others stop complaining about my long 10:30 am breaks
Great video. I'm not much of a cook and I'm just getting into campfire cooking so these "tips" will come in very handy. I believe I have the "don't melt the pot" committed to memory and I'll work on the "don't let it stick to the bottom and burn". Completely on my own I've learned the "hot bacon and eggs will melt through a Styrofoam plate" rule and also at that time (recovery mode of bacon and eggs on the ground) I learned the "Teflon spatulas will melt on hot cast iron". Take Care. Dave
Great video sir. I just subscribed and will be looking forward to these videos and the references to Nessmuck were very enjoyable. I remember that section you talked about and it very informative and funny. And I like how you talk about how what you are doing relates to being over a campfire as well. Great stuff!
@mashking3 Thanks for watching! Check out my videos "Border Patrol Stew" and "The Worst C-Ration Meal Ever!" They use the same 4-ingredient format and are made in a canteen cup.
I'd eat it.
