  • i was 14 and my parents wouldnt let me go to this concert, never forgiven them!!!! well ok maybe i have now, awesome performance and great music all of his albums are great......

  • I was there very very wet rained all day we were Qing from midday to get in!

  • I was there freezing my butt of waiting for the concert, but when it started you forgot about that, fantastic expeirience

  • industrial revolution 2 should have been remixed over a dance beat.

Maybe Jarre doesn't play at these concerts but it is his artistic talent that creates these masterpieces, he is the one that has put all the work into them and made them come alive. The Philharmonic Orchestra don't get the credit when they play the 1812 Overture, Tchaikovsky does. The labourers and grafters don't get the credit for St. Pauls Cathedral, Sir Christopher Wren does. Geiss, Rimbert and Perrier did not compose these extravaganza's, Jarre did.

Jarre is a great composer but a very very very bad keyboard/piano player. That is evident in his last tour. Don't get me wrong...i listen to Jarre every day, but the man cant play straight, he has a horrible sense of ritme, cant keep things in tune. I do think it is very brave of him that he is at least trying during his latest tour, with more horrible then great moments.

  • @Mr12stringbass afortunadamente jean michel no a escuchado tu opinion...la envidia de ,manifiesta de muchas formas

  • @bybarlop

    Please in English.

  • Jarre may well write the music, but in these big shows he doesnt actually play much. Shame that he gets all the fame and glory. Everyone has heard of Jean Michael Jarre, but who's heard of Michael Geiss? Frances Rimbert, or dominique perrier? Check out the guy in the turbon and look at his hands. This is Dominique Perrier playing a yamaha KX-5 and thats is who you are listening to, not Jarre who's at the front of the stage taking all the credit for whats is in fact a "group".

  • Of course Jarre is miming his a**e off. If you note it's rances rimbert (with the turbon) who is actually playing the lead ona modified Yamaha KX-5. You will notice this in most Jarres videos, if you watch Michael Geiss and Francis Rimbert inthe background, their hands synch perfectly with the musc. Jarre may well write the music, but in these big shows he doesnt actually plays much

  • @davewilson1969 Plus 80% of the synths sounds on the whole album are from the Roland D50. Jarre at the very most is triggering MIDI events rather than hitting actual notes. The logistics of playing all the album live would have been a nightmare back in 88. As an example the clip of the guy hammering pipes etc at the beginning of this clip is miming to the Machine Run preset on the D50. When I saw this back in 88 I was amazed, now I know how it's done I'm seriously underwhelmed.

  • I was there. awesome!

  • This is awesome i remember watching this on tv when i was only 11 years old. 22 years later and it's certainly stood the ultimate test of time.

  • @MrNecropink lol, in 1988 I hadn't borned.

  • EXCELLENT !!!

  • Superb concert, and a sensational album!!!

    I love this album:))
