There is no other refurbished car in the train besides #7 caboose. The #14 had a wheel set changed out but that's all. One major new thing for the railfans next year is the #2's whistle (people call it the high pitched "Chinese" whistle) is being switched for a brand new Southern Railway 3 chime! I CAN'T wait to hear it in a couple months!!! Thanks for the comment! And when I heard that first whistle out of the yard to the crossings, I slowly started to look amazed at how it sounded!
She's so fantastic when she's smoothly rolling along the rails... Her chugging is all mighty and it's a great pleasure to hear her strong whistle voice again.
after I heard the first whistle signal for the crossings out of Jamestown that day, i heard myself shout, "THE WHISTLE IS FIXED!!!" I cherish the recording I took of that whistle. The whistle at the very end of the video and the recording I took on my digital recorder I gotta say are two of the best whistle blasts I ever heard!
Cool, nice work! I never get tired of watching #3. Puts the "tea" in "tea-kettle" like the V&T Inyo does as well. Good catch on the Christmas music at 5:20. Worth watching all ten minutes!

They ended up extending one of the linkages so the whistle valve could fully open.
