Yea, I like Chip Coffey, seems very sincere and when he left Paranormal State, the show went down hill quickly. Chip is not like that lady Montel had on his show, that woman would answer everything and you could tell she was just making the shit up instead of saying, I'm getting nothing. @Jonste24 That's a fair question, considering the man in the film specifically mentions "reel to reel tape recorders." I have a digital voice recorder. My roommate has a cell phone that is, imo, too powerful. With a wall separating us, if he's using his phone and I'm using the recorder, I will get his phone conversations on the recording. And if I'm using some other electronic device, I'll hear his conversation over that as well. I hate his phone so bad.

However when I record something, I still use a Micro-cassette!

reel to reel tape machines were probably the best machines to use for picking up audio evp's.

the magnetic recording heads were huge and this has a lot of reason for why they picked up evp's better.. poloroid film was also the best to use for catching spirits because the lens and the way it catches the image is a different process then old 35 mm film. since the picture is taken and developed right there on site it gives a spirit more chances to show it self on the developing film.

I think he is full of crap personally. There are audible voices picked up, and also recorded. The EVP also picked up a little more that couldn't be heard audibly. Definitely very spooky, but it makes me wonder if it wasn't an intelligent haunting, and just the past revisiting itself over and over.

I'm not much a fan of Paranormal State, I think they overdramatise it all for television. I'm more scientific, and I like Ghost Hunters instead.
