@hui96 Nope as a kong vault is basically a diving monkey vault, as long as your hands are placed on your obstacle after your feet are of the ground then it's classed as a kong vault.

couldnt agree more, parkour is the art of getting from point A to point B in the quickest and most efficent way possible. Sine there were very few times emergency free running was made to focus on the looks of parkour so they added flips and such to make it look even more badass :)

can sum 1 tell me how to do a monkey vault, ive tryed and failed many times, both of my feet dont go inbetween my arms( i thinks its coz i have short arms). only 1 of my legs on through!! it is enoying!!!!!! 1 of them just stays behind!!

well one problem might be that your knees aren't bending enough, or that you might be holding on the object for too long with your arms.

so next time, remember to bend your knees alot and even before putting your legs through your arms, make sure your hands already left the object.

I practiced it with a broom. Hold it in front of you with your both hands, then jump and try to bring it under your feet to behind. It's safe way to practice, 'cause you can always let go of it and you won't trip, like you would with real obstacle.

there are no set movements in parkour, and so therefore, the names do not exist, its all in your method of movement, so you're a bit contradicted.

if i were to "vault" something, i'd normally call it a passement.

The verts and all those other wastes of time are just that; wastes of time AND energy.
