Death used to be my favorite band when I was 14 but that was because I was just getting into death metal at the time and I didn't know many bands yet, plus my tastes have matured a great deal since. Possessed and Obituary are still cool with me, but Necrofaggot and CC are awful newbie bands.

The age thing couldn't be more off. Most teens like metalcore/dethcore when it comes to metal. Then again this is old and pre-internet. Information about subcultures was heavily distorted back then.
