Dude that's awesome! I am curious to hear the difference between the interface and aux cable. I want to record my drums and I tried with aux cable to the line in jack on my computer I'm get a cheap decent sound from em'. I am no longer considering but searching for an interface but something that wont tear a hole in my wallet lol. But I am curious to hear the difference if you could send me 2 audio samples with one aux cable recording and one with the interface if you want I'd appreciate it.
@JuAnthonyJR thanks. Sorry, I don't really know what you mean by recording two different samples. The UCA222 only has 1 input anyway. And if you're recording drums, if it's from a microphone, don't get this. This is designed for RCA output devices, not analogue instruments.
@statikeffeck Well yeah but also is the Alesis PhonoLink Stereo-to-USB Cable considered an interface btw I am recording with a mixer and drum mics but I need a better output such as an interface. I mean record without an interface and then with one so I can tell the difference it makes
@JuAnthonyJR You can use this to record drums using a mike by running the UCA through a mixer with a mike pre amp. If you don't have a mixer Behringer makes some reasonably priced ones that work well.
@JuAnthonyJR to record your drums with this interface, u would need a mixer.. mic your drums to the mixer, and out put your mixer with this interface via RCA .... if it makes sense haha,
this sounds great 5 stars man. will this work if i wanna stream live? i dont use a DJ Program when i stream live i just want the audience to hear me DJ
Majorly Cool. thanks for sharing. so Am I to assume that the button pushing is just cue'ing pre-determined feeds/patches etc. as well a some pitch bending and effects and panning with those discs? and of course I see you using the left/right fader.. I just never got into this stuff but am I at all close? lol
@DJFMasters3 right you basically push the buttons randomly and move the sliders all around... also sometimes you spin the spinny things for good measure
@volcomx484 are you kidding me? no it doesn't have a built in speaker. Maybe you can use a guitar amp, but it has to have RCA inputs. not recommended though since you should have at least 2 speakers for stereo sound. Yes, you can plug your iPod into it but the music must be non-DRM.
@statikeffeck hey calm down this is actually for my friend and i dont know, but if you just want it for like a hobby you dont need speakers the headphones will work just fine right?
ghosts n stuff!!! that songs tits!!! nice mix man! have a question, im trying to mess with the pitch, but i cant get it right, if i do 6, or 12 it just speeds up the song way to much, and i cant slow it down without it sounding helllla too slow. sorry if im confusing you. hope you can help. thanks.
@SuperNaco85 Why do you have to speed it up or slow it down that much? The question is what song are you trying to mix before or afterwards? The BPM of each adjacent song shouldn't vary that much. Ghosts N Stuff is about 130 BPM so your other song should be around 128-132. You'll need advanced techniques to mix in a vastly different BPM song.
hey statikeffeck nice mix brotha..... i have one quick question how do u have your idj2 connected to get the sound and were did u connected to.. are you using dj speakers? i have a idj2 also and just wanted some info....thanks for all your help
Hi. I'm using a Behringer UCA 222 USB audio interface to connect the iDJ2 to my PC and record into WAV format with free Audacity software. Check out my other video on the Behringer device for more info. I'm just using a standard living room stereo for speakers.
danmos, I'm glad you asked. Check out my quick video review of the Behringer UCA222 USB audio recorder here: /watch?v=uhoHiM8zmvw OR click "other videos by Statikeffeck".
This is a great mix, can't wait to see 02+. I don't think I have the timing to do anything like this. :-/ I hate DJ's whose idea of DJ'ing is bringing in their MacBook Pro and hitting play on their iTunes playlist and then standing there. "If it looks like you're up there checking your e-mail, then you aren't a real DJ" lol
NICE!
