I'm a huge fan of Western aircraft, but I have to admit a fascination with this aircraft. I wonder if it was as reliable and performed as well at the Tu-95.
@r8wing Oh I would have loved it then. My first flight was in a DC-3, the ringing ears after 3 hours in that tub was all part of the fun to a 7 year old. Then 2 hours later we flew in a 727, what a change.
@dandrums04 or maybe if a idiots like you would understand that this is an originally RUSSIAN television programme created for RUSSIANS to watch as it is narrated by RUSSIANS to listen too, and if theres any English there it was for translation purposes.
@dandrums04 or maybe if idiots like you would understand that this is a RUSSIAN television programme created for RUSSIANS to watch with RUSSIAN narrators to listen too. The muffled out English was for translation from the RUSSIAN to english.

Great video, but at the end, someone has definitely grafted on the soundtrack of a Viscount landing, not a TU-114. Shame.

Dear All,
I have some questions about psychology:
(1) Why do we love flying?
(2) Why do some of us like older aeroplanes?
(3) How does "golden age" of flying in 1960s different from today's flying?
(4) Why do we like aeroplanes with double decks and staircase?
THANK YOU IN ADAVNCE for your creative ideas and brainstorm!!! :)

@AndrewTubbiolo
It was safe and reliable, but too noisy and vibration-prone for adequate passenger comfort.

Maybe western aircraft were more reliable, but Soviet era airplanes were so much more interesting. Love 'em!
