What's with the wandering fake accents? I think you skipped the first part of a global economy as imagined in the venus project. Initially we have to inventory the Earth's resources and reinvent some of our technologies so they don't poison our planet any more. Building such cities would not take place right away. Long before that we'll have to replace existing technologies with substitutes that don't kill us, like our automotive industry. We need to scour our industries so they don't pollute.

I am still getting my head around this concept myself but figures can be hugely missleading. Even something like 'produce' or 'production' can be missleading.
