  • I'll tell you whats bad about this video I wasn't there this is beautiful.

  • scare away the demons...

  • dude wtf you suck at recording;) J/K from what time does it start to what time does it end? like here in holland we may start at 31 december on 10 o clock till january 1 2 o clock in the night so its only 14 houers of firework fun:(

    nice movie m8 5 *****

  • haha thanks bro. it usually starts around Chinese New Year or Lunar New Year. It's not December 31st and January 1st. It depends on the moon and is different every year.

Usually the fireworks on Chinese New Year Eve start right when the sun goes down all the way until 2 or 3 after midnight. Depends on where you are.

  • oke oke, and there is no law according to the power of the fireworks you may lit as an normal civilian??

  • not that I know of. and dude. it's chinese new year. biggest celebration of the year. police don't give a crap. hahaha.

  • ya but as an american can we do the same thing with out getting into trouble like just lighting fireworks where ever we please like everyone is doing in this video

  • i love it.

  • so you can pretty much just go and buy some fireworks and light them off anywhere? Unlike in the united states?

  • yup. pretty much. thing is, nobody really does it unless it's a holiday or you've just moved into a new home.

you don't really buy it and just do it for fun haha. on holidays, there are street vendors everywhere. it's pretty intense.

  • awesome, I might make a trip out there in 2011 for new years. It would be well worth it.

  • wow, thats insane. I would love to take a trip to china. some day.....

  • Hey! I know most firecrackers are virtually machine made now..can they still be hand made for a price? I have a few strings that are about 70 years old. The craftsmanship on these are stunning. I think they were called "begonia" crackers because they were rolled with different colored paper, so if one single cracker blew up - it had layers of different colored paper like red, orange, green, yellow and purple. They were used for wedding and dedication ceremonies. Lookin forward to next CNY!

  • I think a lot of firecrackers in China are still hand made. I've seen people wrap them up and put gunpowder inside. Small markets are hand made, big markets are machine made.

  • Man, that does it. I thought I was convinced to head to Macau during CNY, but you've convinced me to head to the interiror for sure. Great vid!

  • hahaha. i'm glad you are going to china. it's a great place.

  • hi jamesznw.. how much did you spent in hotel accomodation in china? and how long did you stay there?

  • Hey there.

I currently live in China so those are no problems for me.

But to answer your question, an average 4 star hotel costs about 200 RMB a night which is rougly 30-40 U.S. Dollars. Of course, it is different in every city and also depends on where you go.

  • nice:D

  • You gotta visit China if you have a chance. It's great!
