that's true but look at the facts. if u reduce the weight even to the according race track standards, it'll still weigh about 1200 kilos. also, its heavy weight makes it prone to understeer on the corners and if u want to drift it, it only controls the understeer on the front. in the long run, you'll end up using up the tires until the understeering gets too severe and crash into the outside guardrail.

The Skyline ruled the Japanese GT championship since its introduction and practically every other series it raced in. It was so good that in order to make the other cars more competitive they started to introduce a weight penalty for Skylines. Even with additional weight though they were so damn fast.
