im a huge suede fan and will buy anything brett does but his solo stuff is getting a bit too samey for me.i heard slow attack was going to be a return to the edgy guitar sound of his early songs,not likely after hearing this.good ballad though.

This is a 'rough' version... The album version's quite different... Slow Attack's by far his best solo effort... In my humble opinion, of course.

I agree on the fact that his music would have a use a bit more edge to it. But maybe this is the road he's deliberately chosen, to make a bit more romantic, yet serious pieces.

But this song's got some potential, I only hope it won't be one of the few in the next record.

I am in agreement that this is a good song and better than 99.9 percent of anything in the charts. But we have had 2 CD's and 3 live CD's from Brett that are all pretty much the same now.

It lacks the Suede and The Tears' edge and I for one am desperate to see Brett get back to indie-rock which was quite frankly the best Brit-pop ever!!!
