  • Still a better drawing than anything I can do.

  • my god, the description gave such an in-depth and incredible explanation of how a tablet works. with the information provided, i could probably build my own from scratch. thank you, blister, for telling me how a tablet works -____-

  • Nice drawing!

  • Hes using Adobe Flash.

  • How about you change the titel? You are NOT discribing how a graphic tablet works. Oh and by my firs use of a tablet well I ordinary don't say this, but I was much better at drawing then you and if you used this before you should do better....

  • Here we gooooooo!

  • It's a me Mario!

  • Thanks, this vid was just sufficiently informative for my needs.

  • where did you get this?

  • I do have a few question before I buy my own tablet:

*Any experts answer will be considered as a great help!*

If anyone is familiar with SAI Paintool, is there any tablet available to that?

If anyone is familiar with Adobe Cs5, is there any tablet available to that?

Which is easier to use with a tablet, SAI Paintool or Adobe Cs5

Which is easier to use without a tablet, SAI paintool, or Adobe Cs5?

What tablet is the best for drawing anime?

When using the tablet, do you really touch the pad?

  • @LichKing887

tablets are avaiable for any program

  • @LichKing887 The tablet works for ANY program :). If you dont have pen pressure, then go to wacom.com and download you're tablet drive. When you do Step 1 and 2, wait like 2 seconds and go all the way down. There's going to be dates so download the recently one 2011. Then download it, install it and restart you're computer. Then you should have pen pressure. If you STILL dont have pen pressure, so do it all over again but when you finish the step 1 and 2, download the 2010 one.

  • Can I ask you to change your title? I was after an informative video on how Wacom Tablet's technically work. Thanks.

  • nintendo asked me to ask you: does it print money?

  • At first I thought you were going to be immature and draw a penis, I was like "Bro, are you serious? Are you really going to- Ohh!" Haha, thanks for showing how it works though(:

  • 1) buy wacom tablet for some hundred bucks

    2) make mario in ms paint

  • @DallasGreen123 3) Profit (?)

  • @CTmera 3) ???

  • @DallasGreen123 haha sorry

    uhh this'll clear things up

    knowyourmeme (dot) com/memes/profit?search=1

  • @CTmera i know it, but step three is "????" ;)

  • @DallasGreen123 That is not MS paint, it is Adobe Flash (It used to be macromedia's) So don't jump to conclusions too fast dumbass.

  • @Hamster1022 It has same buttons down the left hand side so it is an easy mistake to make if you have never seen that program before dumbass.

  • @StupidlySpecial Does it have the colours? No. Does it have the frames? No. Also, calling someone a dumbass because you made the mistake, then you need fucking help. I know, you didn't think it was MS paint. Or did you?

  • Is it kinda hard telling were ur drawing on the screen? Like where ur brush is and stuff?

  • @GoofyPinkFlamingo it is but you can get used to it

  • its a me, mario! :D

  • Thanks for posting this! I was curious as to how exactly the tablet worked, mainly whether or not you could see what you were drawing on the tablet itself.

  • unfortunately they don't buy tablets here :( ... and i'm sick of using the mouse in photomanipulation .

  • Dude, you need to use a thinner brush.

  • its a le mario

  • i knew who it was whn he drew the nose

  • Nice one, putting the colours really make it look cooler.

  • Then Graphics Tablets don't have a screen on them? It makes drawing seem harder considering you have to switch your head direction every now and then. D:

  • this wasnt a bad drawing, atleast you could tell it was mario

  • wow you make it look easy....

  • God I hate tablets. There is absolutely no reason they can't change that hover crap. My solution: only when pen touches pad can it move. 4 buttons: double click/click, right click, draw on/off lock (meaning once you click it the pen starts working and only turns off if you click again, also toggles hover because when you're drawing is the only time you need it), quick stroke draw (have to press and hold to keep draw function on). if theres anything like this already please fill me in.

  • @kyjodo yeah, because that is how real pencils etc. work... not.

  • @Cudgeon a real pencil doesn't function as a mouse....

  • @kyjodo is it that bad? I imagine is like having a pencil in your hand, and there are options that you ca use with....I intend to buy one cause I hate mouses and I want to draw also...do you know something about wacom CTE 430? are they good? would you recommend it?

  • @lauramona81 I've read a lot of peoples opinions and most say you just need to get used to it and it becomes better than using a mouse. I've gotten used to it and its fine for drawing but still very crummy as a mouse, which was my problem in the first place. And I'm sure most people switching from mouse to tablet have the same issue that you need to move your whole arm around not just your wrist in order for it to be comfortable.

  • @kyjodo thank you so much for your answer, now I have one tablet of myself, I see now it's not so easy to work with but I'm sure I'll get used and I hope I'll do something nice with it. Do you have some works of your own? I'm interested on seeing some works done with a tablet.

  • Cool vid

  • Aw your drawing wasn't that bad! It was pretty good for someone who was holding a camra and drawing at the same time

  • There was a guy on zwinky named mario_990

    And he wass lyke itsaaaa-meeeh-mario!

    hes annnoying

  • its a jackal, jackal, jackal, jackal , jackal.......ooooo its mario.....good video

  • oh yeah, your fucking fat pudgy ass hand made me want to puke.

  • 1. You don't draw with two hands.

    2. That piece of shit drawing can be done in less than a minute.

    3. You are incompetent and should not be drawing Mario seriously in the first place.

    4. You take yourself too seriously.

  • @freakforfish You should go back to school and learn to read; so that, in the future, you can actually read descriptions. Also, your poor attempts at insulting others make me want to puke.

  • @freakforfish

He takes himself too seriously? You're the one who's bitching about every godamn thing in the video.

And the reason he listed all of those things in the description is so whiny douchebags like you wouldn't leave stupid ass comments like that.

  • @TheGnarledOne hahaha~ nice one~

  • @freakforfish did you not read the description? God.

  • @freakforfish Oh, stop complaining. He's just showing you how this thing works jeez!

  • @freakforfish Are you stupid or what?! For one, you do not put down other people's drawings. Yes, you can give them tips on how to improve, but to think that you are better and can draw better is just plain stupid. Yes, you do not draw with two hands, but you also have the other hand as stability. Something to help. Can you not read!?

  • getting this for my birthday (less than 2 weeks yay)

  • what drawing program is that?

  • i cant wait until i get mine next month. For a good price, too.

  • why ur using flash 8

  • how much does oneof those cost???? i HATE drawing with the mouse and rreeaally want one but i have no idea what a tablet is SOOOOO how much does it cost????

  • @TheWolfgirl156

it actaully depends on which one u're buying, like vistablet can cost $100.00, some wacom cost $70.00 and some tablets can cost all the way up to nearly $2000. The mac tablet cost nearly $2000. Yes they r expensive and some r priced well (i dnt if the last part made sense but w.e. -_-)

  • @PkNlOvE ok I am getting one in the mail. I got a bamboo pen and touch tablet. Thannks!

  • wat program did u use for the drawing?

  • I don't get how you can look at the computer without it showing on the tablet.

Maybe people are more skilled than me.

    Everyone can do it.

    I just cant. Lol.

I HAVE to be able to see what Im drawing as Im drawing it.

And I just can't find a cheap enough tablet that does that. T.T

  • it's actually pretty good. I just got a tablet and it's so hard to draw on :(

  • how do u calobarte it??

because mine is all wrong when i get half way across the tablet my cursor is off the screen!! :(

  • Your good for someone who is holding a camera

  • what about drawing with onionskin? how does that work? when you have to delete each frame and draw the image again in the same place

  • im getting one for christmas EEP

  • very cool!!

  • wait, you can't see what youre drawing on? O.o

  • @clubpenguin1help you cant see it on the tablet but u can see on the pc

  • @clubpenguin1help -.- i always thought u could see too lol

  • nintendo will kill you for that

  • @MrAwsomemen Thanks :D

  • So if you did does 3 points in your description why in name of god you did not ask for help, for the test you should do what you really know to do or draw, and your video probably will be more cool and don't make me thing that the tablet pen are not to precise

  • Commenting about your drawing capabilities! Heh... No it was actually pretty good for rushing. ^_^ Better than I can do at any rate.

  • what brand tablit is that???

  • @axle8000 wacom

  • needed some mario music

  • got a bamboo mte-450 off ebay brand new for £29, to replace my CSL-460

  • I got a Trust Slimdesign Tablet for my birthday this year. I've been wanting a tablet for a while now, so I'm really happy! XD

  • haha cool! how much kost so a tablet?

  • @2k2i2s2h2a well....idk how much, depends on the zise, compability...that things :D

  • The drawing wasn't bad at all. I at least recognized who it was, which is saying a lot for me. I'm a bit slow at recognizing drawn characters. I thought it was a great vid. :D

  • I don't know if a table would be right for me, I rest my hand on the surface while I draw.

  • @torco6 you can rest your hand on the tablet surface without anything happening :) it reacts with the pen, not the hand

  • I have a genius tablet, and it's terrible! I have to scan everything and then vetorize the scans very slowly to be able to do something half good. Now, I don't know if the problem is me that can't use a tablet properly, or is the Genius tablet (Probably the tablet). Is the bamboo fun good enough for flash animation? Is it easy to draw directly on the pc? Can you draw with it as good as on paper? Thanks.

  • what where you on then paint

  • i want a taablet.. x[

  • i just got this tablet right now, its old ya, but its pro, it just didnt come with the mouse, got it used

  • can you use other things such as photoshop with a tablet or can you only use the software disc that comes with it? By the way, that drawing was awesome!

  • i gawked seeing that it moved the cursor by hovering.

  • so when your using a pen tablet, do you watch the computer screen as you draw or do you watch the pad? i know its a stupid question but im desperately clueless about photoshop and stuff like this

  • @emmypop21: I am watching at the pc screen because it's not exactly the same because of the difference between the aspect ratio of the pc and the tablet. But it's quite funny and easy to use. It's harder to have ideas what to do and doing them correctly.

You can have a look at my videos with a pen tablet. ;)

  • when you use the pen, do you hold a button down to write or do you apply more pressure?

  • i have a genius graphic tablet but i dont know how to draw using it.. tutorial pls

  • can u use this with a labtop? plz reply

  • @iiTheKitteh I'm using a very small one. I have no experience with bigger tablets, though, so I wouldn't know. But I'm satisfied with the small one, if that means anything to you.

  • do u really need a big drawing tablet?

  • @xy274 That tablet wasn't big. ;]

And kinda...cus what if you want to draw big and you don't have the space?

  • Comment removed

  • @SilentHorusKnight no it is USB only and its sensitive to touch you just need something basic like paint to draw things

  • @dsshfjjnh Thanks. Well, I got a different tablet, and it works. I did, however, have to install software for it to work. Pen pressure was simply nonexistent (same as clicking) until I installed software.

  • So you hold the pen over the tablet to control mouse and touch to click and draw and such? Well, I already knew I needed a tablet, now I want one even more. Know any way to get one cheap that isn't broken?

  • Nice Mario

  • Hello, does all the Intuos or wacom works the same? as in, when pen is lifted and hovers, the mouse moves without leaving any writting.

  • OMG I NEED A TABLET!!!

  • 39.99 from argos and i gotta question does it go where u want it 2 go or is it really annoying??? plz answer

  • lol i have that tablet

  • won't you lose track of where you are drawing?!

  • Wait, so if you hover the pen above the tablet it just moves the cursor, and when you press down on it, it draws?

  • I WANT ONE!!!!! x3

  • Is it compatible with Windows 7?

  • nice

i want one mite be good for animatin

  • suck at drawing

  • Saw you take your pen off the tablet, when you start drawing again, how do you know where to posistion your pen on the tablet?

  • your drawing actually not that bad, and thanks for this demo, i was wondering how they actually worked before hand, so thanks!

  • what program was that

  • i like the mario drawing :)

  • omg how much is this..?? :o i feel like an omish person seeing the first ever lightbulb xDD i tink im goin to waste all my munny onthis thing *.* its worth it...

  • thanks i was looking for a video showing a graphics tablet used in flash..try to see my videos ive drawn them with mouse..hehe

  • Wow! Awesome job man!

  • Aww lol he was cute! XD

  • does the pen tip change the smoothness on the lines?

  • @XBakaNinGyoX Well, you choose the type of pen/brush/spray etc. from the tools in your paint program, and the harder you press, the thicker the line is. This is customizable in Control Panel and within the paint program prefs also. It's handy for sketching, you can draw lightly and then thicken the lines you want to keep by going over them with a 'pen' or 'marker' and then choosing the eraser tool and setting it to erase only light lines (feather, or low hardness) so the sketch lines are removed

  • yer, the harder you press the pen onto the tablet, the bolder its going to draw =

  • OMG nice drawing

  • Thanks for this video! I might be getting a tablet later this month, and I was looking around to find a video of people SHOWING the tablet rather than just drawing it an filming it with Hyper Cam. Thanks again! :D

  • @SuperWolfLover1 Don't worry, it's easy to draw with though I haven't mastered my media of art WITH the tablet. All you have to do is remember when you get it, you won't be use to the tablet for about 2 weeks to maybe months. I'm an anime artist, I'm good on paper, I've had my tablet for about 1 month, but I can't get the exact feel of the tablet.

    SUMMARIZE: It'll take some time...

  • What are you using? Coral Painter, or photoshop? o.o

  • @Kigaru111 I think Coral Painter...

  • Thats Flash =)

  • Just the video I was looking for! Thanks man!

  • For someone wanting to buy a tablet, this is IMHO the best video to show its use.

Many videos out there show excellent on-screen artwork but fail to show the tablet. This is very comprehensive in this sense.

    Thanks a lot!

  • It's me Marrriioooo

  • You forgot the a.

    It's a-me!! E-Maaaario

  • May I ask something? what program do you use?

  • @HilagangHangin I think it is Macromedia Flash but its hard to tell. I think that is an older program because if Im not mistaken Adobe now owns it. I have the Cs4 version, I love it. My next investment is the Intuos4 Medium

  • omg. cutest. mario. ver. XD

  • I have one of the cheap knock-off tablets from Genius. They work about the same way, and the quality really isn't much lower than the real thing. I would, however, like a Cintiq, which seems like a touch screen but only registers where the stylus is. Gawd, the Cintiq looks so much better than these tablets we can actually afford :(

  • Heh. I'm saving up for a Cintiq 12 wx. I've saved up 80 dollars out of 999, maybe a bit more if I can sell this retarded Vistablet I got.

  • @1supersonicfan:

I would love a Cintiq, but I'm not selling my Genius tablet anytime soon. It's really not worth the effort to sell, anyway.

  • can u see what ur even drawing on the tablet or u cant? i wanna noe cuz i might buy one...

  • you can't see what you're drawing on the tablet itself, but you pick up the pen and paper feel very quickly with this.

  • i wanted a tablet so i started using the line tool for the time being and i just got good at it D: I think ill use the line tool with a mouse in flash but the tablet in photoshop :D

  • Can you see what you're drawing on the tablet?

  • no, but it's like using a mouse, except 10x more accurate and the pen to paper feel.

  • lol Yeah that was one of my concerns too. I was wondering if drawing with a tablet would be like drawing blind. Like, I wondered if it works kind of like a laptop touchpad in that you have to move the pen around to use a scroll bar like this person did or what. I want to get a tablet, but I don't have photoshop. :P

  • Comment removed

  • GETTING THIS FOR CHRISTMAS!!!

  • me too :D

  • Thats what Im getting for christmas. To use on flash.

  • Hi can you tell me what model this is? Also I had a tablet many years ago and it was hopeless is this one good enough and responsive enough that you could put tracing paper with a drawing on it and go over the outline with the pen and it will copy it to the screen?

  • wait...if you use your pen to controll the mouse, do you need to press a button or something to make the mouse click/draw?

  • You mean, use the pen to control the cursor? I think you can hover over the tablet and the cursor will move and when you actually make contact it draws. I don't have a wacom - but going by this video - that's what it looks like.

  • i hope so.

  • i want one hopefully i'll get it for christmas. btw i like ur drawing idk what other people r saying

  • no you are a really good drawer no joke

  • hey this is cool I am going to get one as Im not very good at drawing and it might help me? Can I ask does this Animate your drawings?

  • this won't make you better.

and you do need a software to animate those

  • Omg ! I want a tablet so badly !!!!

  • @BOLT12superdog You can get one easly all you gotta do is go to Walmart and buy one for 50-60 dollars, and if you don't have that much money...3 Words,Parents Credit Card.

  • @BOLT12superdog OMFG me too!

  • @BOLT12superdog wacom(dot)com

  • how do you make it differ from drawing or not drawing?

  • thats what i was wondering

  • i found out you just hover over a space you want to see the mouse and you touch to click or draw

    Does that make sence?

  • SOO damn small!

  • i like the drawing =)

  • i to woudl like a graphics tablet where coudli find one not on line?

  • im stll confused so u have to look at the screen every 2 seconds or does the tablet show the drawing plz reply

  • you gota look at the screen, but really, it's not really hard, it's not the same as drawing directly on a sheet of paper, but you'll get used to it. It took me like a week maybe to get used ot it (I got it for Christmas last year). If you have 2000$, you can buy one with a screen integrated to it: (you see what you draw directly on the tablet), they're very expansive, but again, if you have the money and you really want one, go for it, they're great products. Wacom rocks.

  • you dont have to look at the tablet. When you lift the pen like an inch from the pad, the mouse will move but you won't draw. like a regular mouse.

  • Pretty cool.

Does this thing work like the cintiq? Like the cursor will follow the movement even when the pencil is not down only showing the picture on my screen and not on the tablet? I know this is stupid but I never saw a tablet in real life and only drew with pen on paper or with a mouse (I'm worried I won't be able to use 1 like this but I'm planning to buy one:S). Someone please explain!

  • Taru58, yes they all work like that. I want to get a Large Intuos 4. They are hard to get used to because you can't see what you are doing on the tablet. Think of it this way, you don't look at your hand move the mouse, do you? Takes practice.

  • Thank you for the answer, you calmed me. Now I can just pick the one I can afford and think will be good for me knowing it will work the same way. :D

  • It doesn't take that much practice. I've been drawing on tablets for a long time, but after the first day i had the tablet i got used to it.

  • I want a Graphics Tablet so badly!!!

  • Hey, that's a pretty good Mario, especially when your holding a camera that only has 2 minutes on it!

I'm getting a Wacom Bamboo Fun tablet on Tuesday, watching these video makes me want it sooner xD
