@Kosmikiss hahaha comedians have to make parts of their comedy gig that can be related to most countries. its... an open joke thats kind of like.... fill the blanks. eg. bloody __________ are such cunts! there are bloody assholes everywhere! i came to ________ to have fun but all i got was. who the fuck are you? from all the people who live here. see? you can put any countries name in there and it will make sense some what. add an accent or method of speaking then boom! funny!
@crapolaist i am australian you moron... you just have a cheap sense of humour... and you contradicted yourself.. you just said australians are not racist yet you ridicule americans for their white picket fence houses and how they talk to australians... it's people like you who disgrace our country.
Didn't anyone think it was funny that he went to all the trouble to buy a new wardrobe and luggage with built-in rollers/handle and when he tried to claim it after landing in Australia, all that was left was the bloody handle & rollers. Rest of it was gone. Yes the claims person was being a bit cheeky, but our man's snappy come backs were perfect. I suppose you've got to pay attention to get the humor!
@Neojhun You realize this is one of his routines right? It gets a great laugh at his shows every time so he usually fits it into the start of his abroad shows, he just tweaks the story to fit with wherever he is.
He's basically saying the complaints girl had a sense of humour with asking what was the problem with his luggage, not that this would appeal to an Australian sense of humour
I'm Australian and this is not derogatory at all (and let's be honest, the scenario could be applied to most countries) - but most importantly - it is bloody hilarious. You're a funny bastard Rhod!
@EmKate23 Well, you see, most people have this thing called a sense of humour. Basically one person tells a joke (that is what was coming out of his mouth) and people laugh if they find it funny, as did I.
@gtvsoccr Actually it all makes sense. The cheeky nature of the lady he reports to (who in the metaphor is portrayed [from his POV] as naive) represents at least one aspect of the Australian sense of humour.
Angels77100 first of all if you didn't pick up his rather obvious accent he was Irish and second of all Aussies were I come from are like that because were I live it's much like the weather in the uk! Cold wet and snowy but I do see the humor in what you said!
This guy is possibly the sickest, most miserable looking Aussie I've ever seen. Aussies are usually athletic looking with great skin (thanks to their diet). Maybe this guy spent some time in London UK England and now looks like death warmed up thanks to their crap weather, food and lack of proper health advise.
This is a crack up....to think the poms walkin around confused and we are laughin our guts out at him and he dont get it!!! makes it even funnier...hahahaha
@ohalorsmoi the title is australian sense of humor so it sort of seems like this video is australian humor even tho he is welsh and no im not you dumb cunt
can a western australian answer me this? in sydney we have the westies, like the bogans from mt druit etc. I was just wondering, surely you have the same over there, and are the geographically symmetrical? If they are, do you call them easties?
@Lewism1888 why are you going to attack me if i am? i would prefer we had a brain bangin debate about it all! case 1 i am american. case 2 i am english (something tells me you are?) case 3 i have dark skin therefore you dont agree with anything you say because your english and white, case 4 i am actually smarter than you lewism, i love water ballons case 5 friends that get in grown hairs are more likely to live alone. case 6 its true!
@gassytank Yeah so South American, European and American humour tends to differ. You also say most of European jokes (which is generalizing btw, you shouldn't do that) jokes are funny because they can't speak very well, however, Brazil's official language is Portuguese, a European country. Also, I'm Scottish, not English. You say you don't agree with me due to the colour of my skin, that is racist my friend. Finally, how is you love of water balloons got any correlation to intelligence?
@Rachiejane1 - i believe that this joke is universal as you have stated. Since he is situated in Australia at the time of the performance he switches the focus group. The joke isnt AUSTRALIAN humour.. the joke is IRONY... maybe understanding the core content of the joke may improve your opinionated comments. Just saying..
