They are adorable ^^ My lovebirds are similar but much more nervous around people (I'm trying to help them along but they were bought from a fairly poor pet shop.. Never been violent though, so yay~).. It's nice to see well-looked after and very happy birds xD
hi i just bought a love bird its one week i got him but i wonder would he be this social too? now he just sits on a stick and barely sings he doesn't even move from his stick please tell me that its normal and he just have to get used to us because i'm starting to get dissapointed =(
i love your show i have a lovebird to i bought a toy for it and it was fluffy the next day it layed a egg like 4 of them then 1 week later the egg crack becuase my lovebird thought it was a ball..And my lovebird name is Pewter.
thats so cute my parakeet fell into the bag of chips i was eating once. it was hilarious i wish had a record of it he loves funnyuns may he rest in peace
my lovebird costed me 60$ and his cage was 80$. Then I bought a lutino lovebird a year later for 70$. So they vary in price depending on their species I guess. But in the end, I think they
aww. I was watching it and said "NO, salt is bad" but there isnt any chips in the bag, phew. the parrot pillow on the couch beside the guy is the same as i have. I have 2 and i made my curtains, duvet cover, cage covers, and decorated my room around that fabric series. Small world.
How cute! I think that one bird needs to go to Chips Anonymous, he is a Chip Junkie. I had a Lovebird that was a Pizza addict. He was a Luthino Lovebird. So cute! Thanks for sharing.
There are many ways to discourage breeding, but no guarantees they won't lay eggs anyways. Sometimes if you move their cage to a different spot in the room, they will have to adjust to their surroundings and may not breed. Not having a place to lay eggs is another way (tent, nestbox, etc). Rearranging their cage on occasion may also work. Lastly, not being able to get nesting material may discourage them too. If a lovebird is determined to lay eggs, they may lay eggs anyways though.
I am afraid they will make many babies if one of them are male and the other is female, will they keep on breeding until they couldn't anymore? How to stop them breeding babies but still they could remain as a couple?
They are now feeding the same kind of solid food as your lovebirds ate, they didn't touch fruit or vegetables when I put them in the bowl, so I only feed them boiled corn at present and gave them some liquid suplement mixed with their drinking water. I don't know whether they are couple, most of the time, they really attached to each other however they will have some arguments.
I have two lovebirds now, I handfed them when I purchased them from the store few months ago, it is the most critical job for me because it takes 3-4 hours for each feeding, the store told me no need to handfeed them anymore, but they didn't touch solid food at all for the very first day, so the next day, I rushed to purchase a formula for the baby birds.
Aww! i wish my birds did that:) my birds just fight and HATE ME NOW! if they were near a bag or something they would faint(they are rly scared)

@stargazrt4 very true, plus just try getting a chip away from a lovebird once it gets a taste and hold of it, it does not get pretty
