"GET A REAL JOB!" LOL, that was funny! Good video, I love your NJ Transit videos from Ho-Ho-Kus. How many trains a day total come through this spot? I may have to try it one of these days.
Amazing video. Great mix of push-pulls. Great variation of locomotives. Spontaneous and funny conversation with the engineer. Awesome horn action on 4112. Wonderful!
Great video Jim you got 4906,4903,4112,4193 and 4194. All of them have great horns. And the horn on 4112 reminds me of the F40 horns on METRA. I would love to see all of these engines.
4112 used to have a K5LA, but in the early 1990's it was replaced with a Nathan P5. Look up the Nathan P5 on other YouTube videos. It's an awesome sounding horn when tuned properly.
#4108 has a P5???

@SUBWAY125 No. 4112 DID. the FRA permanetly removed it a few months ago though. It has the K5LA from GP40FH-2 # 4136, a GEEP used for parts

4112's horn sounds like a P-series playing the same chord as a Leslie S-5T, transposed down to A.

0:02 I think NS uses the same horn. I saw an SD40 or SD70 with the same horn blowing it at me like I was on the tracks but he was REALLY friendly!

Is this the former Erie-Lackawanna? God bless, Merry Christmas, and Happy New Year!

Dude not for nothing but the horn on GP40PH-2B 4112 sounds sickly almost like it was on a dated U34CH.

4112's horn is out of tune. But one of a kind in terms of P5s. Modified bells from a old Amtrak E60 P01235.

The horn on 4112 is the same horn as MOST of the Metra F40s, and some MP36-3Ps...it's a Nathan P5

Yeah it sounds awesome! I meant that it was weird cause I never here that on NJT engines! Thanks for the info!
trainriders1031 3 years ago
Thats because it is the ONLY Engine on NJT to have a P5 horn.

I had a feeling that it was.
