I think everyone receiving any public assistance at all should be required to work for it, why do I have to hand out money to people who don't work? I work, I support myself, I live in an old trailer and drive an 11 year old car, I live paycheck to paycheck and sometimes run out of money a week before my next check, why can't I get public assistance? This ugly old cunt needs to be thrown in jail for fraud and receive zero money from now on.

The plaintiff (last case) had a lot of nerve. She thinks it's all about her and doesn't care about anyone else's inconvenience.

People like her are the reason businesses require deposits. If she hadn't been out the $650 I bet she would never have even called the defendant to let him know she wasn't moving in. It would have been April 1 and she would have been a no-show, and she wouldn't have spent a second worrying about the defendant's rights.

I sure wish the government would pay MY rent. It seems that between the government and church welfare, nearly everyone gets their rent paid for them...except me. These people are too much. The government pays her rent, yet she has the nerve to make demands? Government entitlements cause people to feel entitled.

@zaamrod50 Seriously. Some leech gets food stamps to buy whatever the hell they want without working, but yet I'm stuck eating Ramon and trying to pay for school. This woman still didn't understand the concept of non-refundable even after the case (along with the whole operation of Section 8 housing).

@irvingklaw57 If you don't make a lot of money you can still get on foodstamps and section 8. It depends of the laws of your state but I know for a family of 2 you have to report changes on your foodstamps if your income is over 1000 dollars. Also They are starting to crack down on people stealing foodstamps and medicaid and they are putting stricters rules down in how to get them. Just thought i'd let you know. I believe for one person you have to make over like 700 to not qualify.

@zaamrod50 :( Students should be able to catch a break, I got 4 kids pay all my own bills, but, I dont want to pay taxes so a overentitled barely literate or professional mother can catch a free ride. 6 years ago I had a rough patch and needed assistance and was treated like a loser by welfare because I had a education. I was happy to get off in 2 months and go back to supporting me and mine. People like this damage the system for people who actually need it to get back on their feet.

@globe255 I do as a nurse I pay higher taxes because I am middle iincome and in USA we pay more taxes than the people earning millions its a stupid system that only benefits the wealthy and poor.

Poor people are the reason why wealthy people can live well. Remember a good system will also make sure you can live well on your older days.

@zaamrod50 tell me about it >>' It makes it hard for people who need the money to even be able to get it. not to mention causes prices to go up to cover what they're being paid. the government doesn't pay their rent, taxpayers do. I'm on welfare myself, but i am working to get a job to try and get back on my feet. I don't make petty excuses like some people do saying they can't work because they're disabled. I'm fighting to get my job and stop welfare. I shouldn't have to depend on others.
