the G1S is an alright notebook, i'd like to see a faster 8600, and why did the older 7700 have 512mb ram? is less better? I bet were all going to be dissapointed when they release a 50% faster 8700GO w/ 512mb ram! Like they did with their notebooks using nVidia 7600Go, they released a newer version 7700 card, basically what the 7600 shouldve been! THose users could at least swap the cards, the new 8600 is built into the mobo now! no upgrades for us! at least i got my G1S for $650
Yes i know it can run RSV, there is someone that has a vid posted with the g1s running it, im not too sure whats the most recommended but i can tell you that both those games will run really good on the G1s, im not sure how much money 1000 euros are worth but i got my g1s for 1699$ american, or canadian since exchange is the same

rickboy89, you don't NEED to upgrade your memory. I got the G1S to and also with the standard 2GB ram, i can play every game on high settings. But futere games like Crysis, ... will need more ram (also for the 768MB shared memory from the 8600M GT) so in december i am going to upgrade to 4GB ram ;) (It will be CRAZY than ^^)
i think all you have to do is flip the lappy upsidedown, open the little hatch, and the ram goes there, and im not sure but i think you need vista 64 bit to run itwith 4gb, because the 32bit doesnt recognize it or something
true but its also 300-400$ depending where you buy it, your almost better off just buying it stock then buying parts cheaper online and installing yourself or getting someone else to do it, it all depends i guess if your willing to pay extra

i suggest you to turn off the shadows in multiplayer you can spot your opponents faster then.Fear deathmatch rule.Nice laptop.

there is a g1s-B1 came out.
with 3GB RAM (2GB in a1)
200GB HD 7200RPM (a1 is 160GB HD 5400RPM)
