Love my 2012 Diesel Crew. We recently turned up the fuel plunger and got a bit more acceleration and top speed out of the engine. The fuel plunger has a tamper resistant cover you have to remove. EPA crap.
@elaposto Agreed. Diesel 6wd ranger would be nice. But i want to see this current diesel starting & running in our northern Canadian winters, and perhaps it's performace with tracks.
@Terratracks ahaha hell yes. with tracks for sure. cause like. diesel is great. but i mean. 4 little wheels doesn't give you enough traction and contact with the ground for it to be useful. also. turbo definitely needs to be an option one day. would make it the the ultimate side by side for canadians anyway.
i own a ranger diesel the only down side ive found is the weak factory 4 ply carlisle tires which i replaced with 8 ply pitbulls now i can run it any where !
Finally, a good review of the Ranger Diesel. Thank you, thank you. I'd like to see some footage of the diesel crew. Did they make any improvements on the 2012 Ranger Diesel?
@terminaltsi The PPE turbo would help it out but RPM will be the limiting factor. The Yanmar governs out at 3850 rpm. It pulls great across its powerband though. Mine will do about 40mph and it is enough for me!
What's the top speed and is it faster than the 800 and can u make it faster?

Ooooh... I like it. I wonder if it could be turbocharged?

@DRTYFN yeah if it could be turbo'd then we could turn up the fuel and have some serious fun! that 800 gas engine wouldn't out run it then.
