  • totally untrue

  • 420 has been around since 1971..from that high school someone mentioned before. San Rafael.

It refers to a TIME not a date.

  • is this really the video ??

  • This video is nowhere near as good as the visuals that this song puts in my head!

  • if you liked this try massive attack angel

  • stfu jew

  • @Calipso and yours is very decent i guess ?

  • umm your the jack ass . 420 is not a polce code and it has never been , 420 started at a University in Santa Monica, people would go and smoke weed at the statute of louis pasteur at 4:20 because they finished classes at that time. Funny ha? go look it up for yourself

  • u can look it up all u want but their is no hard evidence. it is just the most comonly accepted oppion. go kill urself just cus somone said it doesnt make it true

  • dumbass, it was San Rafael High School in San Rafael, California. hahaha, you must of been high when you wrote that

  • @111BRAZ111 BAAH it was a school they werre just studnts thats the stori, and what diference does it make, people dont say 420 thinking about wich school was, it's what it represents, i guess. but yet its better to be informed, so thank you sweet (:

  • haha sorry man, yeah I probably was. Dont know why I thought it was in santa monica, I just remebered I knew that from a long time, anyways is a school in California, Im not form there. You agree with me, its comes from that story not a police code crap. which remains me here its 4:15 got important stuff to do in 5

  • Sorry It was San Rafael school, anyways its in Cali

  • well the remix is much better than this, but i got a clear voice that iz.lol

  • this version way better

  • wit film is this in? a cant mind

  • Fast and Furious Tokyo Drift.

A REMIXED version of this song plays in the beginning credits/pan-in while they are all walking into school through metal detectors.

  • does anyone know what means the tattoo symbol?

  • 420?

as in the reference to weed?

no idea why they picked that

  • just a day that some college picked

it was that day when they smoked

  • it actually says 426

  • it says fried chicken

  • anyone knows the name of the movie from the video? thanks....

  • It's music video by Kar Wai Wong. Not movie.

  • i think you mean Wong kar Wai

  • maybe tokyo drift?

  • remix sux

  • awesome song

  • arguing on youtube about lil wayne is as retarded as listening to lil wayne

  • lol nice

    two birds with one stone

  • The only time I saw him was when Dave Chappelle did a comedy scene and pretended to be him. Then months later I saw him on ESPN and ,wow what a mess.People actually LIKE him......I could barely understood a thing he said. But hey he is a good role model for today's youth ,right?

  • feeling good about how many people gave ypu a thumbs up on a youtube comment is just as depressing

  • I like the original of 6 days, but I dont like the remix. But I loved the movie because I love cars

  • Hip Hop can be educational. My 9 year old was listening to this song,so I played the original Colonel Bagshot 6 Days War for him, and he wanted to know what the 6 day war was so I then had him look that up, so he got a history lesson out of a hip hop song. Sweet!

  • Hip Hop can be educational.

    can

    Period.

  • yeah you can say hiphop is educational if only you take a mere 10% of the actually talented

  • similar thing happened to me as a kid when I played "historic" PC games and wanted to know more history because of this, and I used to dislike history

  • i personally think mos def's remix is better but this is pretty awesome

  • oh my god the original is so far superior.

  • This is the better version, originals are usually better

  • lol this is the song from fast and the furious tokyo driftXD

  • your talikin about the remix

  • although true they put the remix in that movie, it wasnt made for it, and I was actually pissed that they used it.. destroying its credibility. thumbs down for reminding me.

  • this song reminds me of school , like what day it is, and how long it takes till friday, lucky school is almost done for the summer XD

  • School is like war, then.

  • what is the dj shadow song with the soundclip of the really deep voice that plays?

  • What does your soul look like. Part 4, I think.

  • fukin stop with this shit,

    ur just a gay cunt

  • the quote? posession is not always concrete. someone can also possess your thoughts. don't underestimate the power of the mind. that's my translation

  • its 426 dumbass

  • sorry 426 I missed typed it.

  • great video and great song =)

  • hey guess what fuck off

  • love it!

  • tommorow never comes until it's to late

  • tomorro never comes...

    never ever

  • damn it...that should have been my senior quote...

  • HQ is MUCH better!!!

  • psh i kinda hate the remix but this is wayyy better.

  • SHADOW IS SO VERSATIL

  • this song is awsome. i first heard it in the fast and the furious

  • Yeah the remix was decent but this one (original) is so much better but thats just my own personal opinion

  • Colonel Bagshot: six day war is original

  • remix SUX compared to this one. anyone mention the killer snare track? who played that, dj shadow? wtf?! sounds like rudiments, plain and simple to me....

  • i like the remix better personaly,

i still like this orginal but it's sort of depressing, and the remix is a lot less depressing.

  • Amazing song

  • the remix is better

  • i skate to this song all the time lol

  • dude i fucking love this song it took me forever to fined this damn songs name but now i found it =]

  • I am obsessed with this song

  • Seriously them not allowing embedding is stupid! Allowing us to embed is only going to make the video seen but more and more people!

  • the remix is awesomer, kinda

  • I love this Song *-*

  • me too!!! =)

  • GREAT song. Cool video. I read that it was about a man finding out his girlfriend had cheated on him. He subsequently tries to remove all signs of her existence from his life (the tattoo, the mirror.) When he sees the light at the end, he realizes that this is impossible.

Blessed are the forgetful, for they make the most even of their blunders.

  • this is a strange video for a song written about the 6 day war in 1967...

  • .....maybe because it isnt about the six day war genius

  • Nope. It's about the Six Day War.

Notice the Monday-to-Sunday timeline in the song? The war occurred on these days in 1967.

Also, the vocals come from a Colonel Bagshot song titled "Six Day War"

    Genius.

  • actually no you're wrong. Its about a man who gets cheated on by his girlfriend. why in the flying fuck would they make a video about an asian couple to portray a war about the ragheads? Genius.

  • It can be interpreted as being about relationship issues, but the song is originally about the Six Day War. Pure and simple.

Have you uhh, listened to it, by chance?

    By the way, /watch?v=jaslo4Ws6E4

  • While the original song is about the 6 Day War, DJ Shadow and the director of this video (Wong Kar-Wai) are clearly using war as a metaphor for the ending of a relationship.

The video is about a man falling in love with a woman who cheats on him and breaks his heart. The days function as a metaphor for the stages of break-up.

Great video, by a fantastic director. Look up Wong Kar-Wai if you liked the look and feel of this video.

  • you're both partially correct, the lyrics are taken from a song by a band Colonel Bagshot called Six Day War, released in 1971 about the Six Day War, but Dj Shadow remade it as a music video/short film directed by Wong Kar-wai, which revolves around the songs hookline "Tomorrow never comes until it's too late", it's about a man who discovers his girlfriend cheated on him and tried to destroy all traces of their relationship, but realizes his efforts are futile...

    now quit bickering, children.

  • i love this song and never realy know what it ment, thanks to you i know now and enjoy the song even more

  • what's with 4:26 in this video, anyone know?

  • 4:26 doesn't exist in a 3:42 video

  • Obviously you weren't watching the video. I wasn't asking about 4 min and 26 sec. into the video because you are right, it doesn't exist in a 3 min video. What I WAS asking about was why 4:26 is writen everywere IN the video (on the clock, the girl being inked, on the mirror, etc...).

  • 4:26 = 4+2=6? six days....

  • Good point duuuude

  • Wong Kar Wai Directed this video. He's a great director!

  • the remix is in tokio drift..
