Given the unbelievable scope and scale of the universe, how can anyone not believe it was created through intelligent design? If there was no God or Creator, there would be nothing...not space, but absolutely nothing.....void. But the fact that there is a seemingly never-ending universe full of gasses and stars and minerals and planets..why would it be there without ID? Nature always has a purpose...To the atheists, I ask so what then is the purpose of the universe?

I don't think space has a limit because technically if people could find the limit of how big the universe is there still has to be something beyond that. That theoretical view of the universe they gave us I don't even think that's big enough to be a grain of sand compared to how big the universe really is. We can travel for 10 billion years at the speed of light and still not make it out of a grain of stand on the scale of the universe, I think.
I guess technically if you had a microscope powerful enough you could get that theoretical view of the universe from Earth. Such a telescope would probably have to be the size of millions of Suns.

If we can see other galaxies from a point in space in this video then can we see other galaxies from earth? For instance when we see a star in the sky how do we know we are looking at a star and not a galaxy? If you can see other galaxies from a point in space you should also be able to see them from a point on earth. When I see a star could it be a galaxy I am looking at?

The answer is found in the bible. The universe is finite but it's too large to be measured. You may not know the truth because you do not know the scriptures and the power of God. Many of us will still be living when Jesus returns and this is the phrase that would be common among men: if only I knew it was true or real. I assure you, miracles are not a thing of the past. I have seen a few in my time. Of course, as you said...we only have my word for it. I was fortunate enough to witness a miracle with a group of about 300 people about 32 years ago. However, no matter how many people witness it....it is just their word against everyone who did not witness it. I will be speaking later today on the Federal Reserve. We have an immense financial crisis coming and most people know nothing about the Fed. God help us!
Faith as used in the Bible: is acting on God's instructions when the outcome is not understood. Example: Noah was told to build a boat when no one living in that day had ever seen rain and the boat was quite a distance from any water source. Noah was 480 when he received these instructions and he had been conversing with God for many years prior. Noah had abounding evidence of God's existance centuries before he acted on these instructions.

But these days who is able to hear God's voice? What should we do now for the will of this God? Christians are just following the words of a book that they consider sacred, they are not able to hear God's voice. So your definition of faith is no longer relevant.

I have read hundreds of books from people who followed the voice of God all down through the centuries until today. Saint Francis of Assisi, Madame Guyon, and many more. @Grifis85 As far as people living nearly a century, the reason why most people reject this idea is because they are unaware of the true nature of the 1750 years previous to the flood. I would recommend "The Hydroplate Theory" by Dr. Baugh. It is one of the best works on the history of the earth I have read. Many scientists are not aware of the experiments that Dr. Baugh has performed demonstrating the conditions of the planet before the flood. Longevity wouldn't make since without this info.
@mozartgenetics Exactly, I cannot know who is able to hear God's voice. I have no proof if it's true or false. I may only say that I didn't meet anybody (still alive or not) that can hear HIS voice. @mozartgenetics (<-) This is too easy to confirm the existence of God, so that miracles can not be denied 'cause they're past events. The flood is considered a myth...there's probably been some disaster but not globally, perhaps locally (in Mesopotamia). But we cannot be sure about it. If someone wants to be sure even without proofs...ok, it's always a matter of faith. Nothing strange.

I do not care for the techno, but I am delighted that someone would give credit to God for the vast expanse of space. I cannot imagine how I endured so many years of college where otherwise intelligent people would talk about God's creation without acknowleding God. I collect books of Sagan, Asimov, and various others on space. I am bewildered how such intellects do not see God in their work.

I mean...you bought some book of Sagan, Asimov and others but they're just books written by human, not by God. You are right, the Bible had many contributors over 15 centuries. 2 Kings 19 and Isaiah 37 are identical but written many years apart by two people who had never met & no Internet. I don't know yours but I stick to the definition of the word used in common parlance: "strong or unshakeable belief in something, esp without proof or evidence". So in the end it could be true or false, you can't be sure which it is. If you are sure you should have some proof, and if you have proofs then it's no longer a question of faith. We should find an agreement on the meaning of the words...otherwise we cannot communicate.

@Da2faan It's all speculation. And intelligence is just a matter of degrees. Other primates have similar tendencies. Other mammals have them. Insects have complex societies. It makes sense that the dominant species would have time to develop their intelligence. The evidence points away from an intelligent agency. If we go with the assumption that there is one, it's interaction with the universe is undetectable. Imagine what the universe would look like with out god in it; just like this one.

I don't think space has a limit because technically if people could find the limit of how big the universe is there still has to be something beyond that. That theoretical view of the universe they gave us I don't even think that's big enough to be a grain of sand compared to how big the universe really is. We can travel for 10 billion years at the speed of light and still not make it out of a grain of stand on the scale of the universe, I think.

I assure you, miracles are not a thing of the past. I have seen a few in my time. Of course, as you said...we only have my word for it. I was fortunate enough to witness a miracle with a group of about 300 people about 32 years ago. However, no matter how many people witness it....it is just their word against everyone who did not witness it. I will be speaking later today on the Federal Reserve. We have an immense financial crisis coming and most people know nothing about the Fed. God help us!

Faith as used in the Bible: is acting on God's instructions when the outcome is not understood. Example: Noah was told to build a boat when no one living in that day had ever seen rain and the boat was quite a distance from any water source. Noah was 480 when he received these instructions and he had been conversing with God for many years prior. Noah had abounding evidence of God's existance centuries before he acted on these instructions.

I have read hundreds of books from people who followed the voice of God all down through the centuries until today. Saint Francis of Assisi, Madame Guyon, and many more. @Grifis85 As far as people living nearly a century, the reason why most people reject this idea is because they are unaware of the true nature of the 1750 years previous to the flood. I would recommend "The Hydroplate Theory" by Dr. Baugh. It is one of the best works on the history of the earth I have read. Many scientists are not aware of the experiments that Dr. Baugh has performed demonstrating the conditions of the planet before the flood. Longevity wouldn't make since without this info.

The flood is considered a myth...there's probably been some disaster but not globally, perhaps locally (in Mesopotamia). But we cannot be sure about it. If someone wants to be sure even without proofs...ok, it's always a matter of faith. Nothing strange.

I do not care for the techno, but I am delighted that someone would give credit to God for the vast expanse of space. I cannot imagine how I endured so many years of college where otherwise intelligent people would talk about God's creation without acknowleding God. You are right, the Bible had many contributors over 15 centuries. 2 Kings 19 and Isaiah 37 are identical but written many years apart by two people who had never met & no Internet. I don't know yours but I stick to the definition of the word used in common parlance: "strong or unshakeable belief in something, esp without proof or evidence". So in the end it could be true or false, you can't be sure which it is. If you are sure you should have some proof, and if you have proofs then it's no longer a question of faith. We should find an agreement on the meaning of the words...otherwise we cannot communicate.

@Da2faan It's all speculation. And intelligence is just a matter of degrees. Other primates have similar tendencies. Other mammals have them. Insects have complex societies. It makes sense that the dominant species would have time to develop their intelligence. The evidence points away from an intelligent agency. If we go with the assumption that there is one, it's interaction with the universe is undetectable. Imagine what the universe would look like with out god in it; just like this one.
