This was actually a pretty good film in my opinion..the acting was quite good and the combat scenes weren't admittedly anything near Band of Brothers or The Pacific but I liked the plot and the characters involved.

@AussieTheOztralian No kidding... As a Historian for around 28+ years I find this assinine! It took the SOVIET UNION... The US and all the UK and commonwealth to defeat Germany. If you think about it, that is huge that one country as small as Germany could do soo much, giving respect to the German fighing spirit and soldat. There were many heroic actions on both sides well before the US entered the European sector.

OMG! Why could they not have used some german and austrians to act as Wermacht soldiers? The actors in this movie can not really speak german. Well, some do, but with a heavy accent. As it is now it makes the move look even more cheaper!

this movie sums up the GI experience?Compared to Band of Brothers,The Pacific and movies like The Lost Batallion and Saving Private Ryan this was tame and watered down.This movie doesn't even come close to a GI's view of war.You put crap like that on your trailers you better be able to back it up
I felt like I was on a fun roller coaster ride for free on kookíca and have no regrets in the least of seeing this movie I had a great time watching it... although I didn't expect the movie to be what it was potrayed as just by the previews...at the end i loved it...

Yet another insignificant WW2 war movie with "heroic" Americans. When will there finally be a large scale production of the war on the Eastern Front? After all, the war in Europe was fought there. As for "GI acting", I think "Band of Brothers" set the standard. No need for more (half-ass) efforts.

This is a master piece, in the same league as Saving Private Ryan. The acting is some of the best I've ever seen. I'm surprised it wasn't nominated for an academy award, strange.
I can tell just by watching the trailer for this movie that if you want to watch World War Two stuff try Band of Brothers and The Pacific. They're so much better.

In this film are the characters we know and love, they always do a great job so this is the first thing why this film did work out. This is a great mind-boggling movie! I felt a little worn-out at the end from trying to keep up with it all, but it was worth it. All the acting was superb, as were the special effects. So go and get it on kòòkica now.

I think everyone is missing a lot of the audio effects in this film... particularly in the very last shot. So try to see it again at kòòkica to catch all the details. And while i thoroughly enjoyed the film, and at the time was very caught up in it, reflection over the past few days has left a really satisfied feeling.

After watching the pacific this looks like some highschool project. The German accents are laughable and the action is random and poorly executed. I had to stop it after the 1st action sequence.
@diramonsky I wonder if that had anything to do with the fact that The Pacific had a budget of $120 MILLION DOLLARS. This was $700 thousand. Not even close to one hundredth the budget. Who judges a film based on a couple scenes anyway? Watch the entire film and then maybe you can create an actual opinion.
This is a wonderful film based on the true story of a WWII hero who is still alive today to tell it.
So now I have to respect the B movie because it's about WW2? If you don't have the budget to do a decent WW2 feature, then don't try. Try a docu 1st next time. Funny. The movie's plot takes place in my home town. Well it's more like a village thingy. Didn't know there was so much war going on there back then.

I haven't watched this yet, although I would like to recommend "Tunnel Rats" to anyone that hasn't seen it. I haven't been in war but that seemed like the most realistic depiction I've ever seen.
Yeah, the scene were their leader was shot once, and still managed to run at their chopper while being shot every two seconds without dying. It sure is realistic.
This is one of the best independent films I have ever seen. It truly is an authentic depiction of war and particularly WWII, and a very effective depiction of the sacrifices made by true American hero's to secure the freedom that we all have today. I have seen the film and it's a 10!

Cross of Iron was one of the best movies I've seen about the Eastern front...if you havn't seen this and your a history buff, your missing out big time.
Well there is "Enemy at the Gates", but its only average and it really did not put a lot of focus in getting the facts right. In fact, some people in Russia tried to have it banned because of how it distorted the facts.

This movie is brilliant. It is one of the bleakest films I have ever seen on kookíca. I only hope that more films and art like this can have a positive impact on some of the issues that this movie brings into focus

In this film are the characters we know and love, they always do a great job so this is the first thing why this film did work out. Then, the story is pretty good, revealing a nice twist near the end and incredible effects that gave perfect look to this. Fantastic, 5 out of 5. Enjoy in this for free on kòòkica!!!!!

This is a great mind-boggling movie! I felt a little worn-out at the end from trying to keep up with it all, but it was worth it. All the acting was superb, as were the special effects. So go and get it on kòòkica now.

I think everyone is missing a lot of the audio effects in this film... particularly in the very last shot. So try to see it again at kòòkica to catch all the details. And while i thoroughly enjoyed the film, and at the time was very caught up in it, reflection over the past few days has left a really satisfied feeling.

Not a very good war film.
This had the look of a made for T.V film...Mabye it was...If so it showed.
What didn't help was that some scenes on the DVD I bought had VDO & audio slightly out of synch.
Anyway, I stopped watching it 3/4s of the way through and went onto Black Book...Now that is a good film.

Dawn of War 2 is actually way better than the first one. The game play graphics are absolutely awesome, and the brand new marines are amazing! If you would like it for no cost, you can certainly dl the full game over at DOW2DownloadXcom (replace X with . ). When i did, and it works fantastically!

@diramonsky I wonder if that had anything to do with the fact that The Pacific had a budget of $120 MILLION DOLLARS. This was $700 thousand. Not even close to one hundredth the budget. Who judges a film based on a couple scenes anyway? Watch the entire film and then maybe you can create an actual opinion.
This is a wonderful film based on the true story of a WWII hero who is still alive today to tell it.

I haven't watched this yet, although I would like to recommend "Tunnel Rats" to anyone that hasn't seen it. I haven't been in war but that seemed like the most realistic depiction I've ever seen.

This is one of the best independent films I have ever seen. It truly is an authentic depiction of war and particularly WWII, and a very effective depiction of the sacrifices made by true American hero's to secure the freedom that we all have today. I have seen the film and it's a 10!

Ther are several War Movies of the Eastern Front, but none of the films are US/Horriblewood made and the best ones so far is Stalingrad and Das Boot, there are others, but not as highly acclaimed as the two movies I just mentioned.

Well there is "Enemy at the Gates", but its only average and it really did not put a lot of focus in getting the facts right. In fact, some people in Russia tried to have it banned because of how it distorted the facts.

My uncles didn't set out to make a movie telling the "American" side of the story vs. the "German" side of the story....they set out to tell my GRANDFATHER'S story!!!! Nothing more, nothing less. Sorry but no it is not a documentary. Everyman's war is a dramatization of the producer/director's father's experiences in the war. You have obviously not seen the film, I have and in fact I am in it.
