Don't the parents usually stay in the same medical room with their kids at all times to know about the medical condition of their kids? Seems like leaving your kid alone with a doctor and walking out the office is unproductive and bad parenting, especially when the adult parent has more understanding of the medical situation and can communicate with the doctor easily than have the child communicate with the doctor. Lack of judgment on the parents part. Kids get molested because parents suck.

@Pepper6464 Well in a normal doctors office maybe i can a gree with you but in a hospital its a total different story, because the kids are taken away from the parents. They can be taken away for a while due to different testings and what not. In some cases parents are asked to leave the room or are told that they cant stay in that room for whatever reason. Doctors are very trusted people and it really sucks to find some people can be so sick as to abuse a child. I say jail for life!!

It is important to protect children from pedophiles. It is also important to Not make molisted children feel like they are damaged. The children did not do anything wrong. The perpetrator is the one that needs to be put away. Even if children are provocative at times we as adults must know better than to mess with them.

@marhoekful Actually no, I can't say I've yet found myself 'looking at the crotches of others'. I believe though, that you may be imposing your own ideas onto others. For example, not all find direct eye contact respectful.

A pedophile is as a carrier of an all-destroying virus, with the child victim being exposed to a perpetuating cycle of pain and ruin. I honestly hope you do know the meaning of wrong, should this victim later fail to suppress such urges and go on to destroy yet another life.

I stated that such eye contact is not always appropriate. I also gave my view of pedophilia and its devastating effects. I did not say the illness itself is 'wrong'. Violating a child is wrong.
