  • Awesome! I'll try it as soon as I find the ingredients! Thank you Natasha!

  • WHATEVER

  • so why do you use sugar to scrub your skin and you dont eat it? thanks :)

  • same here about the fuzzy hair

  • for how long do we put in hot water?

  • yea nice speech i waited to see what i wanted to see after about 9 hours

  • how do you spell the ingredient kickow correctly?

  • @broombarns I believe it's cacao : )

  • I have a question, why can't you use the microwave instead?

  • @xXxhybridmeteoraxXx I don't see why you couldnt use a microwave. Maybe the woman in this video is one of those people who just doesnt like to use microwaves, because of radiation.

  • @catie1492 um,i tried and yeah i almost blew my house up. :(

  • @nadani2001 holy crap! sorry if you did that, on my advice.

  • You absorb about 90% of what you put on your skin. If you are not willing to eat it, do not put it on your skin!

  • I like your vids but you sometimes don't know wtf your talking about, it's true that some stuff absorbs into your blood stream but this requires chemicals made as a sort of conducter like how gasoline works on skin. If lotion went directly into the blood stream that's what you would feel.

  • i just made your recipe...i used peppermint essential oil for one and cocoa essential oil for the 2nd one and they turned out PERFECT!

    thanks so much!

  • i have a question can you switch the essentail oil or orange or something else that you perfer or it is important to have the grapefruit essential oil in it?

  • wow your amazing...i asolutely LOVE your videos...you explain things really well and give such great info...i had to subcribe

  • i think i can use it for my lips... huh?

    great recipe! thank you!

  • 4:20 she starts the tutorial

  • Hi , I am not able to find shea butter where I live so can i replace that ?

  • @harshagal Try Amazon.

  • LOL, its cocao butter , not ca COW butter. x) :P

  • Hi Natasha,

Won't the insect bite me if i use this lotion?

  • what is cacow butter? I have tried googling it and it keeps coming up with cocao butter. thanks Michele

  • will this clog my pores if I use it on my face?

by the way, a cotton pad dipped in olive oil itself is an excellent makeup remover...

  • Can you please make a video "how to make a cream to get rid of acne"? thankyou. Your Videos are fantastic!

  • I just made some and threw my St. Ives out the door. It is amazing stuff! The cocao butter smells fantastic!

  • i agree with you that a more natural beauty routine is obviously better than synthetics, but saying there is no testing behind the ingredients in cosmetics is flat out lying. The FDA and other organizations do extensive research on the chemicals allowed. Whether or not you personally want to purchase them is a different thing.

  • Do you feel you need to moisturizer your skin? because I've read that while eating 100% raw , among many other positive results, your skin will become soft and moisturized. Rather than dry and flaky. So I was Just curious :)

I guess it's always nice to be extra soft too! :)

  • Horse pee!? Oh myyy

  • Great post i suggest all to make this than to buy the crap that is in the pharmacies, Only thing i use because i am to lazy to make lotion is skincare harvest body lotion, contains, jojoba, coconut, soy, palm extract, shea butter, no dyes, comes with non fragrance, and especially no parabens! OMG try the cookie's one smells amazing. NO HORSE PEE!

  • if you r using a jar to melt it, do you cover the whole jar with water or just half the jar?

  • 1.Where do you find 'liquid' coconut oil? All I ever see is 'solid' coconut oil?

    2. Do you know any way to make it a little softer or more liquidy; maybe to use as a spritzer?...Maybe aloe juice or olive oil?

    Thanks for everything;

    barbcomm@comcast.net

  • lol i tried it and its so good

  • Great! Thank you!

  • where could I purchase Shea butter, and cacao butter? i'd really like to try this. thanks.

  • I am not sure if you mean cocoa butter....otherwise what is ...ka-cow butter?

  • I GOT SOMETHING FOR U TO PUT ON YOUR SKIN AND U CAN EAT IT

  • Sooo.... No hand sanitizer? XD

  • I appreciate your effort in raising awareness about the pitfalls of the beauty market but I don't think horse urine is a good example of what you shouldn't pur onto your skin. Urine and dung are natural fertilisers which go into anything organic that I would happily eat. Also, although one might not as readily jump onto that bandwaggon, urine has been used to solve skin problems for ever. I guess there is worse things in beauty products than a bit of pee. :)

  • Natasha, this is a great recipe. I loooove it !! where I am right now, there is not way to find cacao butter just the coconut oil and the karité butter. I know cacao butter is yummy and the smell is fantastic, but can that be substitute by another ingredient? ANYBODY KNOWS?? I AM ANXIOUS TO DO IT :) shall I just not add it? thank you !!

  • haha when you said cocoa butter i thought you said cow butter

  • you should really say where u get all the ingrediants

  • thank you so much for this though am also owndering where to get some of these ingredienst you use. health food stores?

I have learned that AVALON ORGANICS used to heave products listed as a 2 on cosmeitcatabase (good) and is now a 5!!! It now has added 7+ chemicals in their products and I just did a video on it, if anyone is interested.

Dr bronner seems pretty good and TERRESSENTIALS

  • Next time you make a batch could you weigh the materials you use. I find it easy to make personal lotions if I use the metric scale. Thanks ;()

  • hello to get in groove of recognition of aids, and i like inclusion of essential oils but not what i've shied from with extracts since aromatherapy ones can be strong as inducers of miscarriage... but used inside might even affect airways from evening omegas gelling as flowers & lung depends on thyroid which when helped helps that exterior that can then look live as with breath, beautiful tug of so much smoothness

o oils pressed don't have vitamin e content as source, like w/ olive fullness -

  • your vids keep coming up recommended, this caught me o elbow's rough again so i think i'd better take internal route once more since leaning on lotion won't do if thyroid's attributing a but in as initial note ah determination must remain not only information fresh aware. brief ferments of whole food brought beyond goitrogens go down, but silicon ie cucumber wasn't just sliced but released & complexion held that past imagination in hydrated state to units; body's more by time or hg hee~weatherin

  • Nice video!! I love your channel. Please where can I order shea butter and cocoa butter online?

  • To use coconut oil as a moisturizer, you have to apply while your skin is till wet (like right after you turn off the shower water. It works to seal in moisture from the water rather than to provide moisture. Its works fabulously.

  • Thanks for the video, I really liked this recipe :) however I am not too gone on it's Shea butter dominant texture and I was just wondering if you knew of a way i could make a bit more creamier in texture?? Once again thanks.

  • There are laws even if not followed that say all labels should use INCI names for items. That's the scientific name for items evel like Cocoa butter is not supposed to be listed as Cocoa butter so Most of the time you can't identify the scientific name. It doesn't mean it's not 100% natural. Please do your own homework and thinking. Do not let ppl SCARE you into eating granola if you don't want to. Research, gain knowledge, don't fall prey to ANY fools.

  • where do you buy ingredients?

Do you use this on your face too - does it make it too oily?

  • @Temirah You can buy your ingredients such as shea butter and cocoa butter from a web site called glorybee foods. I use them and find them to be very fair in pricing.

  • @wednsday1969 thanks

  • WoW!! Natural Body Butter, You can make it home. Pure and Healthy!!

  • Thanks for posting this! Please make more videos like this! Is there a way to make lotions and soap??

  • if ya cant eat it dont put on your skin your skins is a moist membrane it digest like your stomache wich is a membrane more moist she is right .... i am making my own lotion ... thnax love cool ...... keep on truckin RA :)

  • you kinda talk alot but thats a good thing because you are explaining things to us :)

  • I know how to make natural body cream ;)*seedy wink*

  • I FOUND THIS VIDEO VERY INFORMATIVE! CAN YOU PROVIDE RESOURCES FOR THE INFORMATION REGARDING SKIN CARE REGULATION OF INGREDIANTS.....WHAT IS THE SHELF LIFE OF THE CREAM THAT YOU MAKE? ALSO DO YOU NEED A PRESERVATIVE?

    thank you once again!

  • Great video, where do you buy the ingredients, does anyone know any good websites to buy the ingredients x

  • Great video, can you use this as a moisturiser for your face?

  • yes! i just made an oil mixture today with cocoa butter! i love it, it makes you smell like a delicious chocolate bar :) except for some reason mine didn't solidify, i'm guessing the butter to oil ratio was off, but i wanted to make a sunburn soothing butter with cocoa butter, vitamin e oil, and lavender ess. oil... it stil heals effectively, it's just a mess ot apply... but the fridge is a good idea. bravo!

  • I thought you said that you don't use lotion, Tawsha? D; I'm confused now!

And by cow butter, you mean like.. butter, that you put on your toast?

Anyway, I love your videos, they are so inspirational! =]

  • cacao butter not cow butter

  • Um, wheres the part where you acctually make it? .... You keep talking lol ;-)

  • you can contaiminate the whole jar by dipping fingers in it.....scoop out what you need with spoon into smaller jar ...put rest in fridge

  • too keep it from going rancid ..........divide a small amount into a smaller bowl and keep rest in fridge and take out what you need and keep rest in fridge and it stays fresh

  • "don't put somthing you cant eat onto your skin" Makes alot of sense but..what about makeup?

There are a lot of "natural organic" makeup companys...would it be safe to use those types of cosmetics? *example would be somthing like aubrey organics)

You obviously cant eat them....are they safe?

  • how long does that butter stay good for, does it get rancid eventually?

  • your so right. we should be using completely natiral beauty products... we absorb everything we put on our body. thanx for the vid! yur gorgeous, keep it up!

  • Very nice vid, thank you for taking the time to make this.

  • this is not a cream! a cream is oil PLUS water.

    this is a balm.

  • how long do you keep it in the water ?

like on the stove i dont have one of those things

  • Hi Natasha, do you buy your shea butter and cocao butter online? I am having some trouble finding it avaliabe at the same online store. Allot of the shea butter comes from overseas... alittle scary. Do you have any recommendations for where to purchase it? I live in MN not that it would be avalaible here just so you know I am not in Canada :) Love your videos!

    Thank you

  • Lol. All shea butter comes from overseas. The trees only grow in africa.

  • lol!

  • Good to see someone on youtube shares a sense of humor.

    *Your trophy*

  • @Nypopsicle18 LOLLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOOLOLOOL

  • Where do you get shea butter and cocao butter. I live in LA.

  • Great recipe!!! Thanks so much for posting this. :D

  • My pleasure!! :)

  • Way Cool!

  • Great video! I´ve found the same with only coco butter, particulary it will not hydrate my hands. Occasionally I´ve also gotten some bumps by my eye, when using it on my face, wich is not good...Can you use this for your face also?

  • I prefer not to use any kind of oils on my face, except to remove eye make-up or as a scrub or mask-- but not to leave on my face. Best to let the sin breathe as much as possible!!

  • Hi, What do you use to wash your face?

do you make your own soap,

what would you recommend with acne issues? also do you believe in oil pulling?

  • great questions!!!! I wash my face with honey! I will talk about that and oil pulling as well in an upcoming episode. I used to do oil pulling and I believed it help my gums go back to normal (they were receding). Acne issues-- don't put lotions &potions on your face, let it breathe and eat as much raw foods as possible, especially greens (salads, green juices etc..). Stay away from cooked oils, processed sugar & starches.

  • Do you keep it in the fridge permanently? Or do you leave it out of the fridge. Is there a self life to it?

  • You can leave it in the fridge, but I keep it in the bathroom. This recipe makes enough for a few weeks if used daily. Make sure its in an airtight container and no direct sunlight, then I would say it can last for a month or so.

  • Thank you :)

  • Do you use grapefruit seed extract or grapefruit extract? Just checking :)

  • Grapefruit Essential Oil

  • Haha!! You get that fuzzy halo hair in humid weather too? Me too :-)

I'll make your recipe today, as I was thinking I need something to silken my hair - thank you!

Just in case someone's got thinning hair, something that I've been using in the last few months has thickened my hair and eyelashes - is to take the chinese tonic herb called "Ho Shou Wou" also known as "Fo-ti root" also known as "Polygonum multiflorum". It's amazing for energy and feeling good too.

    Have a fab day!

  • Thanks for the tip (I've got some Ho Shou Wou and a brother that has a receding hair line-- maybe I'll get him to try it out, see what happens!!!)

  • Thought I would also add that it is important, when using a double boiler for heating your oils, to ensure that the oils are covered with a lid so that any vapor/moisture doesnt collect in the oil because oils will go rancid as soon as they touch water. I heard this from Daniel Vitalis who has studied this area in depth. Great video!

  • Thank you so much for pointing that out- totally makes sense.

  • I love using a small chunk of cacao butter mixed with oragne oil in the bath, leaves my skin super soft.

    ..................

    Here's a brilliant face pack recipe :

*5 parts raw cacao powder (antioxidant)

*1 part rhassoul/red clay (or any other good clay)

1 part camu camu or amla (for vit C)

    1 pinch of tumeric

I mix the above with liquid ocean minerals until it makes a thickish paste.

Apply for 10 minutes and wash.

    Leaves the skin looking radiant!

  • I am sooooooooooooooooo doing this tonight!!!! What a great idea, I never thought of dropping a chunk of the cacao butter n my bath-- makes perfect sense. I'm also psyched to do the face pack, thank you!!!!!!!! :)

  • I heard that theres an ingredient in energy drinks called taurien i think and its actually 'bull semen' i guess thats where they got the name 'red bull'

  • Sounds like a tale to me-- with the amount of energy drinks produced every minute, how would they come up with that much bull semen??????????? (and if it were true, i wouldn't want that job!!!!)

  • haha, yea they would need a lot of horny bulls

  • It is a tale. Please see my other replies (either above here or below.)

  • Taurine, or 2-aminoethanesulfonic acid, is an organic acid. It is also a major constituent of bile and can be found in the lower intestine and, in small amounts, in the tissues of many animals, including humans. Taurine is a derivative of the sulfur-containing (sulfhydryl) amino acid cysteine. Taurine is one of the few known naturally occurring sulfonic acids. Taurine is named after the Latin Taurus, which means bull or ox, as it was first isolated from ox bile in 1827 by German scientists...

  • ...Friedrich Tiedemann and Leopold Gmelin. In the strict sense, it is not an amino acid, as it lacks a carboxyl group,[4] but it is often called one, even in scientific literature. It does contain a sulfonate group and may be called an amino sulfonic acid. Small polypeptides have been identified which contain taurine, but to date no aminoacyl tRNA synthetase has been identified as specifically recognizing taurine and capable of incorporating it into a tRNA.

  • Would you happen to know how to make vegan soap without lye or glycerine? I been looking everywhere.. I know some raw foodists don't use soap, they just dry brush really good, shower and then use flower oils.. I am trying to get to a place where I never need to go to the store again :-) I already use aloe vera for deoderant, to shave with, and for my skin..

  • I make an all natural soap and you must use "lye", or make your own "lye" from wood ash and water. Lye is the common name for a naturally occurring chemical called "sodium hydroxide"... if you go the wood ash route and make your own you are actually making "potassium hydroxide". Some searching online should help you out with that. The fats molecule bonds with the sodium/potassium hydroxide molecule to create a long chain soap molecule that is then water soluble.

  • Ok thanks for the info! I will do my research. Hopefully I can purchase the wood ash cuz I can't burn anything where I live.

  • Hi, I also, wanted to mention that glycerine is naturally occurring in all fats/oils... the chemical industry takes whole oils and extracts the glycerine to sell seperately (hence the ingredient for glycerine only soap). To make soap you need some sort of fat - so its not possible to make a soap with whole natural oil without trace amounts of glycerine in it. : )

  • mmmmmmmmm......horse pee....yuuuummmy!!

    GROSS!!! really really GROSS!

  • Totally gross!! (you'de be quite surprised with how often 'urea' is listed in all sort of cosmetic ingredients)

  • Thank you for all the info!!!! Much appreciated :)

  • Natasha,

I never thought of my lotions and makeup affecting my health has well! It makes total sense!!! I will try this natural oil!!! Thanks for sharing!!!

  • Yes, for a long time I didn't know that either, but once I found out, I made the switch overnight!!!

  • No unfortunately I don't know. I will look into it. I use honey to wash my face but that isn't vegan. Never heard of using aloe for deoderant-- I'm going to try that out, Thank You!! :)

  • @RawRadiantHealth Honey and alittle baking soda to exfoliate your skin is awesome. Trust me rub very gently with baking soda it will peel the top layer easy. Leaving yogurt on your face for 5 mins works as well maybe better than most high name facial cleaners.
