now in the uk sindys home had a sindy house with a living room with spiral staircase leading to roof top patio ,in 1981 with lift that was domed topped similar to the lift in towering inferno but sindy sized,other than that the later house ommited the spiral staircase and domed lift, and replace it with waist high lift in 1983

this sindy house had bedroom exstension stable/garage and balcony and bedroom pack , the only pool was in 1983 it was blue and white

Omg I would have loved a Cindy doll. Cindy was my role model and used to dress like her in primary school. My mother was a Brady Bunch fan though she wouldnt let me have a lisp though.

sindy was pedigrees answer to the english teen doll market,as she was desighned in england,in 1962, she was only advertised on tv in the london area in 1963,sindys boyfriend was paul ,and also had a little sister patch,sindy lost all her friends in the 70s ,unlike barbie ,the only black sindy was gayle a sindy with brown vinyl made by marx and very rare,sindy is very brittish to little girls from 60s to the late eighties, early ninetees, when hasbro radically made her look like barbie

@wizzwamf I think the story was the lady that ran Mattel at the time was asked to pick out a new head sculpt, and the one she chose was not popular enough to compete with Barbie. So she kind of gave Sindy her death sentence.

Sherwood Schwartz ownes the rights to "Cindy" so they had to call the doll "Sindy" without paying him a dime.

Actually, this doll was probably licsensed by some British company that had a doll called Sindy, so the spelling is correct. The doll came out four years after the Brady Bunch was cancelled (as you can see by how old Susan Olsen is), so Marx Toys would rather pay royalties to some British company than to Paramount Pictures.

marx toys would have to have had the rights from pedigree an english doll manufacturer,that owned the license to produce sindy,tammy bears a rather similar look to sindy marx toys had sindy furniture made under the guise of little hostess for its sindy sideboard in 1971

i got all my aunts sindy stuff nearly everything in thise ad and 8 dolls their all up in the attic now but i loved Sindy i had the dark and blonde and shes far better than the ugly Bratz dolls today

its true she didnt do it well but sindy was way more artculated than barbie, she had ankle, elbow, knee clicky joints..and some even had wrist articulation...bac then barbie was still learning to twist and turn and also tilt her head...its a sham i liked sindy
