  • @altfactor. The location was confirmed in an interview with Bonniwell. There is also a Keith "98.6" Where the Action Is filmed at Jungleland.

  • First I have heard of this band. Love them!!

  • Great song for drums, and I covered it on drums just yesterday.

  • PEACE SEAN ~ THE MAGIC STILL REMEMBERS WHAT TO DO, from one of your chrome throated song kissers... save me a place & we'll harmonize!

  • top tune EVER you mean mate....

  • The best! Even the Go Go girls are dressed in black. Saw the Machine in L.A. & once sent Sean a copy of a KRLA BEAT (12/17/66) article about the band. His low voicepipes style was lifted by Doug Ingle of Iron Butterfly & Jim Morrison studied Sean for 30 minutes when they played at the Whiskey...then started wearing black leather pants. Like a doctor of philosophy with a switchblade they make the Ramones look like a bunch of wimpy N.Y. clones. R.I.P. Sean, and say hi to Sky & Arthur for us.

  • My name is muddddddd!!!!

  • Love the aerial shots. Fancy stuff for Dick Clark.

  • Doug Rhodes with a guitar in the video! Sean has moved on, but his music remains with us. Thanks, Sean, and bon voyage!

  • RIP Sean Bonniwell. Amazing band, amazing sound. Hope the other side is what you expected

  • Now we know where MJ got the one-glove look!

  • RIP Sean Bonniwell

  • RIP Sean

  • San Jose CA, native Sean Bonniwell RIP.

  • Filmed at Jungleland in Thousand Oaks!

  • @DenverEye From looking at the clip, I would have guessed that the clip was taped at the Los Angeles Zoo (which BTW, I once visited).

"Where The Action Is" featured rock singers and bands "performing" (usually lip-synching) their songs, taped at outdoor locations mostly (but not always) in the Los Angeles area.

I wish the show had lasted past early 1967, for then it would probably have been broadcast in color, which would have been a plus given the location shooting.

  • R.I.P. Sean Bonniwell from New Zealand.

  • Hasta luego Sean Bonniwell.

  • love the dancers

  • Sean Bonniwell would normally play the Guild guitar but passed it off to the bass player who passed his base off to the keyboard player. Make Sense?

This song is the most powerful 1:58 seconds in Rock History... Read the book

"Beyond The Garage" written by Sean Bonniwell I have it and its a great look inisde the band and what made them tick

  • more, more, more MUiSC MACHiNE please, thx SO much "60sgaragebands" absolutely marvelous, cheers! x0]

  • Uyy esto no lo habia visto! Excelente man, gracias por compartirlo!!!!!!

  • joya de documento,gracias

  • never seen this before, great....

  • Sean Bonniwell?

  • @pretorious700 Yes he is not playing guitar the guy on the right is playing his martin electric ther is no organ player in this video

  • @spacepatrolman Actually, the organ player (Doug Rhodes) is on the left, playing 2nd guitar. I guess Dick Clark didn't have an organ lying around for him to mime. I'm sure that's why Sean has to stand there without an instrument...

  • Great post.! I had not seen this footage either.

  • gran documento,gracias

  • Where Michale Jackson copped his "one glove" fashion.

  • Amazing, never seen this before, thank you very much!

  • Nice find, thanks !

  • awesome!!!!
