hello i am a 13 year old and i love horses but i live in wisconsin in racine and i was wondering wat kind of horse u had she was very pretty and i was wondering wat do u need to own a horse if ur going on the cheap side and like wat to do if i live in a house with like no yard where could i store the horse thx very muh for any input :)

@comagetem I don't mean to put ya down hun but I am 15 and ever since i was 10 I wanted to ride but taking care of a horse is very,very expensive, you at least need 2 acres or more of land for a stable with heating, running water and lighting. you also need proper fencing as well. for the horse you need to make sure he or she is well trained and by well trained I mean she or he is not going to bolt if she gets scared. you also need a sadle bridle, halter, lead rope, curry comb

@comagetem part 2 you also need well lets just say grooming supplies, first aid kits a trailer if you plan on showing.. not to mention the vet bills and farrier cost's and riding gear....... it takes a lot of experience before you can actually own a horse... I would suggest getting riding lessons and then maybe if you really want to show your horse lease one :) but I would hold on to your dream :) I have for 7 years now and its finally coming true :)

i no SOMEone will probably say 'ther horses ears are back, that means its uncomfortable' usurally true, but!!! there is a horse in the backgroung moving, so the horse has turned its ears to hear whats going on, my horse does it... very curious animals :D hope i helped with stupid negative comments!!

u did something that can cause the horse pain which is u forgot to take the forelock out from under the brow band which if u dnt the horse can get severe headaches but im not saying ur stupid and dnt no any thing bout horses cuz u clearly do no a lot about them and u r clever well cleverer than me cuz i dnt no how to speed a video up on the computer

@DestinyPony : I didn't own her, but I used to ride her for the owner. Not a school horse. Far away from a beginner horse, cause she can be pretty fast and strong to ride. Likes speed. But she's much better now though, and she's having a fole next year :)

yvonnecarswell- its just incase they get spooked by noises, such as things dropping. or in competitons they use them to stop them getting distracted by the applausing. they muffle the sound out. :)

Wow, your horse is really pretty. I'm 12 years old and live in the USA. I would love to go horseback riding. I might be going soon this summer like taking lessons every Saturday maybe. Well I love ur horseBut when you take lessons there really expensive. Like $50 per lesson and I think it's an hour. I'm also a little bit scared of riding although my parents don't know that. @ecila89 That is a martingale. Maybe you heard of that? There is a german martingale and a standing, running martingale? The standing attaches to the girth and bridle noseband, and running martingale attaches to the girth, and the reigns you unattatch and put it through to loops. Hard to explain.

The halter is what you put on the horses head to lead it and controll it. You attatched the ropes to the halter. But with a halter you usually don't actually ride it. Your halter has those strings, which i dont like

Dina is 10 years old. No, but shes a trotter, so she has been in many trot racing competitions. She's also a good jumper.

The way I brush my horse I get a neat shine out of her coat.

I do: Stiff Brush, Soft brush, HoofPick, Mane and Tail and then I go over my horse with the soft brush again. Adds a nice silky shine! Alot of other methods work too though!

How many holes do you go up when you first put the girth on? I know you don't want to do it too tight, because than the horse comes "girthy". Cute video! Isn't it ok to just do the curry then the hard brush? Do you have to use the body?

Yes, that's right. But this horse had been groomed earlier that day, so she was'nt dirty at all. :) The most important thing is that the horse is clean, not the order of the brushes. ^^
