  • This just makes me wanna cry, not just because that it's kind of a beautiful scene, but because it reminds me of the AMAZING foundation for a relationship that Clark and Lois had that was built by Al and Miles, but then was ruined by Brian and Kelly in season eight when they brought Lana back and had Clark choose her over Lois.

  • you gotta love their scenes back then before they realized they had feelings for eachother. They're some of the best! and I love the references to their future were epic.... Though I love their relationship even more now! pure epicness all around! <3

  • @RomanticRosebud yeah got to agree with you

  • For those of us who have been watching Seasons 8-10 of Smallville, this scene is a happy reminder of how much Clark and Lois have evolved as people, and as a couple, since they first met.

  • Anyone notice Tom nods his head side to side often. He did it when he got on the Motor Cycle with Lana. He did it here in at 1:51. Seems like a involuntary tick

  • @muchohumpty Yeah, I noticed TW do that in the deleted scene in SPELL when Clark and Lois were giving Chloe her birthday present. I think it is a tick or something.

  • @drlee2 I thought I was the only one. He does it all the time & I picked up on it after watching episodes back to back

  • The clois relationship has a lot of markpoints... For example, this one, the start of their friendship. Then in Rabid, when he grabs her hand before she gets to punch his arm. It means: Clark isn't that weak anymore to let her do that AND it's the end of their friendship, forming into a "I like you" relationship lol xD

  • @caneytaneywaney5 I think they were really friends before this, but I know what you mean. I think Lois sarcastic "oh, now we're friends" line is just her way of fending off Clark when things get a little "sappy", then the "punch on the shoulder" to further fend him off when things start getting "intense". Got to love Clois! LOL

  • @drlee2 Yes, Lois & Clark were friends before this episode -- you don't keep hanging around people you don't like or respect. Well, at least I don't! LOL This scene was a moment of deepening friendship & understanding between the two. BTW, I always felt Clark was the first one to feel the attraction between the two (he's real good at denial!)....but Lois was the first to admit to that attraction.

  • @DofRC Right, I think this is the scene that made their friendship become stronger. Note that in a few eps later in COMMENCEMENT, you could tell that they really liked and were attracted to each other. Just that they both thought they were on different paths, so didn't pursue it any further. Yeah, I think Clark was the one that was in deep denial about his feelings for Lois.

  • @drlee2 We're in complete agreement! I just can't understand why some people can't or refuse to see that special something between them. How can they call it a sibling relationship (so laughable) with all those innuendos they zing at each other.

  • @DofRC Well, I've actually used the term "siblings" to describe them somewhat in Season 4 myself, but in more of a sarcastic way. It's mainly b/c they lived together under the Kent farm, Lois thought of Jonathan and Martha as her second parents, and the Clark/Lois constant bickering, esp. since they were "teenagers" reminds one of feuding siblings on the surface; maybe that's the way some others see it. It's obvious they had real non-sibling chemistry, too.

  • @drlee2 I hear what you are saying regarding those early episodes. Oh yeah, they certainly enjoyed riling each other to get a reaction. When two people are this prickly to each other there's a reason why...in their case it's not sibling rivalry. LOL ;)

  • @DofRC Lois did say Clark was like a over protective brother in a few episodes

  • @muchohumpty It has been awhile since I watched those old episodes! The one episode where I do remember Lois mentioning Clark as a "brother" is in AQUA. In that scene Clark was giving AC a hard time because he was jealous of Lois' infatuation with AC. Lois sarcastically told Clark she has an overprotective father and doesn't need an overprotective brother. Did Lois really think of Clark as a brother? I don't think so. But that's my interpretation. Others might see it differently & that's ok. :)

  • @DofRC They seemed like siblings really earlier on. Constant bickering, reminds me of how my family was years ago.

  • @muchohumpty Yeah, they knew how to push each other's buttons. LOL But that was what Clark needed. That Clark brooded constantly and he needed Lois there to bring him out of his funk and challenge him. Come to think of it he still needs Lois for that! :)

Aren't families wonderful? I can bicker with my family and still be friends with them. ;)

  • @DofRC

Chloe never wanted to admit it, but Clark always revo actiewed her as the sister he never had, even when he tried to like her as more than a friend. Chloe also know views Clark as the brother she never had.

  • @bfnfamily That's a pretty accurate observation of the relationship between Clark & Chloe. Poor Chloe...she's not very lucky in love!

  • @DofRC Poor Chloe ? No she deserves whatever she got.

    1. She had a huge crush on Clark & finally gets him. Then she tries to test him & she made him break that off

    2. She got Jimmy & great guy. She cheats on him with Doomsday. She dumps dead bodies in the trash for him

    3. After Jimmy's death 6 months later shes banging oliver

  • @muchohumpty Ok, you win! LOL I'll rephrase it...Chloe is not very smart in the love department!

  • @dr lee 2

Lois also didn't want to admit it. From the first time they met, they wanted to do things to each other. lol

The bring out the strong and the weakness of each other like no other relationship they were in before they became lovers.

  • @bfnfamily Yeah, their relationship is pretty much perfect now. It's like they are totally in sync with each other.

  • @drlee2

Clark is finally happy and free.

  • This was an underrated episode from Season 4....Sweet how Clark is essentially comforting Lois, but doing not overdoing it with sentimentality, just being there to listen. Their chemistry is amazing!

  • The song and the star just symbolized the start of his destiny

  • hey what is the name of the song?

  • wahhh!! epic ever

  • Awww these two are adorable. Love this. The dynamics between the two is so refreshing to see, no angst, nothing to do with his powers, its all about Clark and Lois at their true core...

  • lmao .

"i wont tell if you wont " <--- CUTE

  • Pure awesomeness.

  • THANK GOD this vidoe hasn't been taken down, I watch this like every year lol.

  • whats the name of the song

  • love this scene :D

do you think that maybe,.. JUST MAYBE... the stars are symbolic for them? :P

as in clarks the small slow star and lois is the fast one and when they smash together it becomes brighter and bigger? lol oh well maybe thats just my wierd clois mind :D xxx

  • Clois is epic love.

My favourite part of their relationship was when they hadn't really started noticing they liked each other yet, and there were all of these hints to the future sort of thing, like this scene. And then they would fight, and be friends, it was hilarious.

I can't wait for the Justice Society movie!

  • oh pretty epic! i missed a few season 4 epis and just noticed all the symbolism in this scene. the song was kinda a hint too. "now it all begins" then the stars collide. ugh love the clois relationship. frenemies to lovers. smallville's awesome <3

  • Best song and scene!

  • does any 1 have the clip where clark super jumps form the bridge to the 18wheeler?

  • This scene is one of the best clois moments ever!! such great foreshadowing... cant wait until season 9!!! September 25th baby!!! :P

  • Such a good scene, especially when the two comets align at the end. Shows even though they are different (human and kyptonian) can have their destiny's interwined. Just like how rare it would be to see two comets align like that

  • the way she hits him was hella cute

  • Such an amazing Clark and Lois moment. I love how after they agree their friends, Clark spots two stars colliding in the sky, sort of like a metaphor and foreshadowing of their epic romance in the future.

    Can't wait until season 9!

  • This scene is made of win, and would've been the start of Clois if this show were written by writers instead of monkeys.

    *sigh*

Oh Clark and Lois, the things I wade through for glimpses of your awesomeness.

  • Lol ino :)

Thankfully they have come to their senses and are having 'full-tilt clois' in S9 :D

  • I love this scene!

  • this is one of the best clois scenes in my opinion

  • whats the name of teh song?? please..

  • a touch of destiny...

  • i love the star part. just goes to show, lois and clark are just meant to be together. its destiny. no one should mess with destiny.

  • Comment removed

  • you know the general trend in these posts are reflecting positive notes about lois, thank god people are finally over the horrific acting of kristin kreuk. can't stand her voice.

  • lol. I liked lana in season 1, but after that it all went downhill and EVERYTHING abt her annoyed me!

Nxt to Chloe, Lois is my fave female character on Smallville

  • I LOVE THIS VID & SONG. ;)

    CLOIS!

  • what is the name of the song that episode starts?

  • i don't know if you already have it.... but it's fly by mark joseph

  • ahi,me encanta esta escena...I love this scene

  • clarks the man, always lookin for the best in people even when they walk all over him.

  • lol, i wont tell anyone if you dont

  • why dose she call him smallville

  • It's cannon for Lois to call Clark Smallville it's in the comics.

  • Mark Joseph - fly

  • I loved this scene too. I mean, the whole thing with the stars at the end was so meaningful...I love Clois!

  • fly by mark joseph

  • I love this scene soo much. Hey, do you happen to know what song was playing right at the end of the scene? The one where the lyrics go, "... Now it all begins, you've got to fly..." I love that. Does anyone know what song that is????

  • I agree, this is one of the best scenes of season 4! As for the song, like babewithbrains said, it is "Fly" by Mark Joseph. I loved the song so much that a few months ago I made a Clois music video set to it. You can check it out on my YouTube channel if you like. :)
