I Tried Doing This On My Cousinez itouch 2G 2.2.1 And It Didnt Work.. It Findz The Firmware, But When You Create Firmware It Sayz Sucessful, BUt Right After That, It Sayz Cannot Patch.. You should probably download the USB recognition program. It is not only for windows vista users because my laptop was running XP. You have to download the USB program otherwise it won't recognize your itouch

DFU mode is a safe mode that Apple installed on their Ipod Touches for various reasons. How to get to DFU mode is relatively and is explained in the program I gave for download.

Hello Britlee43,

This is also took me awhile to figure out. What you want to do is go to the program known as CYDIA that came with the phone once you unlocked it. Using the search tool it has on their search "Winterboard" and download it through CYDIA. Once you've done that, go back to CYDIA and search "Backgrounds" download a background you like and download it. Once it has downloaded go to WINTERBOARD and install it by simply pressing the background you downloaded and a check should appear

I have no idea. Some people have reported having this problem, try following through the beginning steps again. Sounds as if it is an itouch problem

I am use'in windows vista 32-bit and watched your vid all the way threw did everything you told us to and had no problems at all. Worked first try and this is my first jail break so if i could do it you guys can to. So make it short guys just do every thing he says and should be no problems. Yep, if your itouch ever messes up just plug it in normally to your computer. Go to Itunes and hit the "restore" button. It will download the official Itunes patch and fix up your Itouch.
