Wow...I don't know what Stones you've been listening to recently. Just pull out the Biggest Bang tour DVDs. Charlie has gotten so much worse. His rolls are increasingly badly placed and done, he can't keep a backbeat to save his life, and doesn't know how to end a song.

As for Keith... these days he can't play guitar and sing, his playing is choppy, his solos are simply painful to listen to, and he thinks it's cool to continually strum his open-tuned guitar without actually making a chord.

Lastly, The Edge is a technical genius when it comes to the guitar. He can create effects and riffs that are transcendent, yet incredibly simple.

And I am in no way minimizing what Keith has contributed to Rock and Roll. Back in the day he could kick ass and take names and create signature riffs without even really trying. These days I want him to just stop trying to play Sympathy for the Devil.

WOW, i couldn't agree with you more! As much as i love the Stones, these R&R dinosaurs have to quit it already. Hopefully U2 does'nt qualify for dinosaur's yet, because they still put out albums that are new and innovative like they're a new band or something. What pisses me off about EVERYONE nowadays is you have to mortgage your fucking house just to see them in concert, and that's if you're sitting 10000 people back. I'm only 32 but im glad i seen all these guys when i only had to pay $60.
