  • PT6A-41 and 42 series engines are both rated at 850 SHP. Earlier 200s had the 41s while the later model 200s had the 42s

  • why do the proppelers look like that? where they dont look like there spinning?

  • @92348fyi Search for "Rolling shutter" and "Stroboscopic effect".

  • Oh man, i love beechcraft...

  • I'll never tire of the great views. Best office on the planet.

  • I wonder why my King Air videos don't get this much attention. Is it the music?

  • @captainmat75 Loved your video, it is because of days like this Flying its my passion, what is the name of the song please!?

  • @Aluv5 tks for watching. the song is : la ritournelle by sebastien tellier.

  • This is why i love flying. always such a great view. nice vid captainmat! sexy plane!

LOL avionics r goin crazy from 0:42-0:52

  • Awesome video!!! And great airplane!!!

  • The propellers look weird.

  • may i ask what this flight is for?

    cargo?

  • wow. this brings back the memories. i was on an air cadet camp last year at raf cranwell. i went up ina king air b200 g-rafd on a really over cast miserbale dday. climbing above the clouds IS magic. its a beautiful landscape of cotton wool. i love the 200, such a reat plane

  • Holy Cow thats amazing!

  • Solid Cruse speed

    210kts

    ?

  • @Conzillla their groundspeed would be A LOT faster since they are at FL250, I'm assuming 315 knots GS?

  • the optical illusion of the prop is just mesmerizing, nice job fellas!

  • wow ... it's beauty fulllllllll

  • Yeah what a blessing I keep marvelling at this sight, too

  • I love Beech and Beach alike. great music, anyone knows this soundtrack?

  • What's not to love about a King Air? Beech hit a grand slam with this airplane.

    Thanks for posting.

  • My best on-top flight was in a T-38A. Came out of a loop at 10K and 500 knots, happened to be exactly on top of a layer of stratus, until that point I had never really known what 500 knots 'looked like', but being right on top of the deck was like flying at FL 0001.

  • were do people buy planes!?

  • internet,

    the "airport"

    other people?

  • I've always wanted to fly in one of these, never gotten the chance though. My dad refuses to get a twin-engine rating.

  • this is why flying is so amazing. i love being able to fly almost 3 times a week. flying is just. a passion

  • Simply beautiful :)

  • this is a great plane I think the best ever made

    looks beautiful

  • really nice...

  • beautiful!!! B200 is beechcrafts masterpiece!!!

  • Music Sebastien Tellier. Remix of Radiohead "Reckoner"

  • That camera makes the avionics and propellers look cool

  • it is obviously 22000 ft clbing 1000ft p/m , that is my opinion

  • 150ft p/m not 1000*

  • He is not climbing at all. Look at the autopilot ;) Alt Hold is engaged, no VS and Climb indication ;)

  • Great movie.

  • watsith the instruments?

  • There seems to be a lot of confusion over this video. the alt seems to be 24,xxx, climbing at 100 fpm. Power should be 850, I want to say the 7xx hp engines would be the Garrets.

  • also the max TO weight is 12,500, only the 350 requires a type rating to my knowledge

  • doesn't it say FL180 on the altimetre, 1:17 top left corner

  • That's the AutoPilot Altitude Set bug and display.

  • That was so pretty, i cried, and im a guy. haha

  • fl250

  • It is my understanding- and probably a wrong understanding, that you set the condition levels full forward under normal operating conditions. Why do they appear to be halfway?

Also, what prop. RPMS are you getting in this configuration?

  • At that flight level you have to consider ITT more than torque. Concerning RPM in Long range cruise you get 1700.

  • @captainmat75 Still don't understand why the condition lever is half way back, actually.

  • The king air is generally flown with condition levers at low idle. Think of it this way....condition levers control "minimun fuel flow". With the levers full forward you really have no minimum fuel flow. You have max and only max.

  • So do the condition levers affect the ITT?

  • @acsmashing Thats what i thought as well, but i went for a flight in a king air and they had the condition levers at low idle (Half way) as well...

  • @acsmashing Condition levers have 2 settings, low idle and high idle. High idle is normally used either a) on the ground to reduce the load on the generators b) decrease ITT (on the ground) c) operate the a/c system when the Air Cond N1 low annunciator illuminates or d) used prior to touch down for maximum reverse. All other normal operations call for use of low idle for all flight regimes

  • b200 are rated at 820SHP

  • 850 shp if the AFM is right

  • The Altitud ALert Say 25.000 !!!!

  • Oh that's cool. You can see the EFIS and the radar displays as they refresh!

  • You mean FL130?

  • i just noticed that too...the auto pilot said 18000...so FL180

  • oh wait, hes stepping it up, 180, 250, then 310 i think

  • Comment removed

  • they can

  • you're right, it's 35.000 ft

  • I take that back... service ceiling is above FL320.

  • but they were at FL250

  • I got to fly a professional simulator for the king air 200 today, it handles quite nicely, though controls are pretty heavy and the trim was pretty slow to take effect. I woundn't say the cockpit was particularly comfortable, though I could have spent longer fiddling with my seat.

  • I LOVE THE PLAEN!!!!

    WOW

  • You are slightly wrong. You need a type-rating for e.g. each type of single-pilot multi-engine aeroplane fitted with turbo-prop or turbojet engines such as Beech 90/200 or Cessna CJ1, CJ2, CJ3, CJ4. Because there are variants of the aeroplane within one type-rating the Instructor/Examiner in this case is a Class-Rating-Instructor/-Examiner. But with such a Beech-Rating you are not entitled to operate a turbo-prop like Cessna or Piper as well. It will be a different type-rating of these classes.

  • You are slightly wrong yourself flightdirector. You dont need a type rating for a King Air 90. The FARs state that a type rating is only required for aircraft that weigh over 12,500lbs, or are pure jet. King Air 90 doesnt fall under this category.

  • Maybe in the US but not in Europe - according JAR-FCL. I am from Germany.

  • Exactly flightdirector. You brought up a good point. Correct me if I am wrong. FAR's only apply to the United States of America.

Yes, I am trying to make a subtle point there.

There are other countries which go by their own aviation regulations. Even Canada has the CAR's (Canadian Aviation Regulations) which are quite a bit different than the FAR's. Esspecially O2 reqs in un-pressurized aircraft for example. Going way off topic there but I just wanted to point that out.

    Very cool video

  • Correct me if Im wrong, but you only need a class rating to step up to this aircraft and not a type rating. What a Great situation.

  • that song is "Reckoner" by Radiohead off their latest album - I was so psyched to hear my new favorite song accompanied w my favorite airplane

  • dam lol i didnt know beech crafts wuld make it that high

  • I'm sure those are rated around 750 SHP(Shaft HP) each X2. King Airs are relatively small. I work at Hawker Beechcraft but I work on the new Hawker 4000's, which is a far nicer plane :P

  • how high where yall 15000 ft

  • lol, no FL310=31,000ft.

  • what a plane! love it!

  • awesome video..!! FL 250 !! king air 200!

  • Music by sebastien tellier (la ritournelle)

    Thanks for your comment.

  • nice video - I'm trying to figure out the music, moby, rjd2? I know i have it but can't place it.
