Live 09 is buggy. Yeah, 2K9 got bugs as well, but in Live they drive through each other, you got the INSANE trampoline dunks and the tacky animation combination. 2K9 is a lot harder against the CPU, the movements are a little laggy but harder than Live which makes it more realistic. 2k's got a whole universe of different sig shots, dunks, layups, freethrows, something Live lacks. Anyway, I enjoy playing both of them, but for different purposes.

Those reviewers are biased ea fans, they actually said 2ks gameplay had nothing new this year, when they actually have added the new shotstick which allows you to change your shots in mid air, and the lock on defense is now more controllable, you can actually controll an offensive player to go left (if he is righthanded) or give him a lot of space (if hes a bad shooter)

The players have strange legs, still no signature shots and shooting three pointers is much to easy(especially with Ray Allen). 2k9 is the game to get if you're the gamer who is serious about hooping. Live would be a great game to get when your friends are around or when you're not playing Gears of War. 2k9, altogether, wins my vote this year.
the only problem i have with 2k9 is the gameplay for me doesnt feel smooth. it feels kind of boxy and the way players shoot the ball looks like live 03.
