Finally someone confirmed RPG works, I know that doesn't work on the Retro Twin or Retron 3, and the previous Reviews of this I read didn't address RPG.
this thing is a piece of junk! Looks amazing at first, but it breaks VERY easily does not play all games and does not play like the orinigal (glitchy music, odd video). the controlers are very light and don't feel good.
look on kijij for someone selling a old original in your area, there usually 20-30$ . and you will be MUCH happier
im looking for a system that not only plays snes, nes and genesis but also n64 games. anyone know of such a console? im kinda new to this 3rd party multi consoles so i have no idea.
Please for the love of all that is good please don't buy this. I got one and straight out of the box the genesis and nes ports don't work, button layout for the snes need re-wired (everything is one space counter-clockwise than it should be). At a $50 purchase this was extremely upsetting. What's more is that it seems commonplace with this manufacturer. If you want to avoid a terrible experience stick to the original consoles!!
This system blows. saving files is bugged, and the amount of games that it can't play is ridiculous. Play the original systems. I tried to save over an old file on secret of evermore and it wouldn't even acknowledge my save. I tried everything but taking the cartridge apart because I don't want to damage it. I think that anyone who is thinking about buying this system should save their money.

@SmokeWeedUnderwater Yeah i believe they do and get the RetroN3 they just released it i bought it and it is sweet it has wireless controlers and you can plug in NES, SNES, and Genesis controllers into it.
I have that same YOBO and the Ness and Snes slot work fine but the sega slot wont work and the triger on the light gun that came with it was broken but i fixed it and it works fine. I can here the audio just fine but i cant see the video on the sega slot. So if anyone out their who reads this and may know how to fix that problum please tell me
NO S-video! Therefore, it sucks. Try the Retro-Duo. It HAS S-video. The image quality is NOT HD component or HDMI; however, it is far superior to regular COMPOSITE video!
no u can only use the controllers that come with it. they arent bad controllers but if your picky about originality you will be disappointed. there is a PlaynTrade store near my house. they sell these by the shit load. im getting one. i did want to get the originals separately but i already have a genesis and plus this is a NEW system. less of a chance of something going wrong with it.. its a great idea

@NiggadickJax same here.pc online gaming is still good but thats because of valve's games. i only plan on a few current generation games but im switching over to retro/last generation gaming. its wierd since the last generation consoles where great and now these current generation consoles have no quality in the physical design, devs are playing it safe with boring unoriginal games and the dickel diming with launch day and pre-order digital content. i wasted so much money on ps3 and 360...

All those Yobo consoles are shit, they broke the first month or a few weeks since you buy them, they can burn, they are cheap made. SHIT! SHIT YOBO SHIT!
Those controller ends and controllers are a huge deal breaker for me. I am basically promise you buttons are mismapped all over the place, and the cheesy controller is probably too uncomfortable/unresponsive for faster action or fighting games. I'd never risk any money on this thing.
But the likely attempt at keeping the "A button" the A button will mean controller mismapping. That will only be accurate for Sega Genesis games. Not to mention, that would outright ruin the SNES stuff, whether it was mapped correctly (as in positioning) or not.
i got a few import games and you dont have to switch the tab in the back also you have to break off the 2 plastic tabs for the us snes carts off of the fc3 inside the slot or you can fits you pal carts in.also mega man 6 doesnt work neither did mm3 BUT mega man X did hmm??
Anybody know if this works with the game genie on all 3 systems? SNES or Genesis shouldn't be a problem but I know the Nintendo brand top loader won't work with the NES game genie.

Where's a system that plays Master System, Genesis, and has a Sega CD port? I guess most hardcore fans have the Master System convertor for Genesis already. And Game Gear convertor.
I have the charchole coler and it rocks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! FC3 all the way baby but the volume on genisses is a lot louder and the sprites are a bit darker and yes it works for nonlicens games

Get a Retro Duo, Because Yobo is really cheap and doesnt work with some of the games. Retro Duo works great (because I have one) and works with ALL games for NES and SNES. It is very sturdy and looks very nice. Plus with a MegaDrive you can get a Sega Genesis Power Base Converter which plays Sega Master System games.
retro duo desn't play all games. later versions of super mario RPG won't play on it, the earliest (1st version) of the game will play on the retro duo, fc twin and more than likely this console too.

Bad news, people. I just saw the FC3 Plus compatibility list on VGC, and lo and behold, Castlevania III STILL DOESN'T F-ING WORK!!! No thanks, I will DEFINITELY pass and stick with my FC Twin/GN Twin combination(I don't think the Genesis side is any better than the GN Twin anyways). When will the FC3 Plus be shown in action?
I may pass as well, as for one, you cannot use your own controllers on the unit. The FC Twin allows you to use official (or decent third party) SNES controllers as they use the SNES style connector. If I want to play lightgun games, I might as well just get a Factor-5.
retro duo will probably have better sound on NES side and also works with (as far as I know) every NES and SNES game whereas this one allegedly isn't 100% compatible. On the other hand, if you don't care about Castlevania III this is a whole extra system with a zapper (which retroduo doesn't have) for about the same price.
It's another clone system made by the same manufacturer. We did a review on it earlier in the year. You can watch our other video on it called FACTOR 5!!
Would this work with European NES, SNES and Mega Drive games? Could I buy this in conference that it'll work with all my UK games, and I'll just need to buy a seperate UK power cable.

Seeing as how my NES has recently broken down for good, I've been looking into getting a clone system. I agree with what Ace9921 said: show me some videos of this system in action, and if the differences aren't too bad from the original systems, then I'll buy.
All in all, this does sound like a good purchase for me. Not being able to use old controllers blows, but at least I'll have less systems taking up space (and less fire-hazard power cords everywhere).
Here's a little tidbit of information that may interest you:
The GN Twin, which uses the same ports as the FC3 Plus, makes use of NES controller signals even though the controllers look like Genesis 6-button controllers. So, with this, as NES and Super NES controllers use the same signals(but not Genesis controllers), you can hack up a Super NES/NES to GN Twin/FC3 Plus adapter using a (Super) NES controller port and a DB9 9-pin serial port(with a plastic plug). Cut part of the DB9 plug...
... and there you go! You will be able to use original Super NES and NES(depending on the controller port used) accessories on the GN Twin and FC3 Plus. For Genesis accessories, you have to hack a third or even FOURTH controller port, as there are chips inside the FC3 Plus and GN Twin that convert the NES controller signals to Genesis signals. This causes control lag in games like Super Monaco GP, as well as control lag in the Game Genie. So, that will be a bit more tedious to get done.
I wouldn't buy one. The original FC Twin was plagued with compatibility issues. I bought the Retro Duo, and found that the sound on a lot of NES games sound distorted. At first, I thought it was a faulty unit, so I exchanged it, but had the same issues. The Retro claimed in was not an emulator, and that it used genuine hardware. The color doesn't always look as crisp and vivid either. I did a lot of research on websites and even watched these guys, but turns out it was still not that great.
its not emulation, emulation is a computer simulating another piece of hardware through software, the retro duo, FC Twin/3 etc. IS real hardware, its just not PERFECT duplications of the original Nintendo stuff.

I have the charchole coler and it rocks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! FC3 all the way baby but the volume on genisses is a lot louder and the sprites are a bit darker and yes it works for nonlicens games

This is nice...I was waiting long ago for one that had SNES and Genesis but now we got all 3! but for functionality's sake I think they should make one that just has SNES and Genesis.

ok mine is the real thing it's the charcoal thing i was paying attention to the box the box is red -.- but it is the real console.i found castlevania 3 at a store and i know it dosnt work but i wish i could get it for the novelty.

Get a Retro Duo, Because Yobo is really cheap and doesnt work with some of the games. Retro Duo works great (because I have one) and works with ALL games for NES and SNES. It is very sturdy and looks very nice. Plus with a MegaDrive you can get a Sega Genesis Power Base Converter which plays Sega Master System games.

retro duo desn't play all games. later versions of super mario RPG won't play on it, the earliest (1st version) of the game will play on the retro duo, fc twin and more than likely this console too.

im getting this as a Christmas gift from my dad i cant wait to play mario brothers the original casltevania, starfox(i found a copy for 5 bucks amazingly) yet its 60 bucks for the console it seems to be worth it also i think its ether red or green where im getting it and the designs a little bit different but its a fc3 for sure.

It's not an FC3 then. It only comes in the 2 colors that we said. You can purchase one at VideoGameCentral. It probably is a bootleg FC3 then.

Bad news, people. I just saw the FC3 Plus compatibility list on VGC, and lo and behold, Castlevania III STILL DOESN'T F-ING WORK!!! No thanks, I will DEFINITELY pass and stick with my FC Twin/GN Twin combination(I don't think the Genesis side is any better than the GN Twin anyways). When will the FC3 Plus be shown in action?

I may pass as well, as for one, you cannot use your own controllers on the unit. The FC Twin allows you to use official (or decent third party) SNES controllers as they use the SNES style connector. If I want to play lightgun games, I might as well just get a Factor-5.

retro duo will probably have better sound on NES side and also works with (as far as I know) every NES and SNES game whereas this one allegedly isn't 100% compatible. On the other hand, if you don't care about Castlevania III this is a whole extra system with a zapper (which retroduo doesn't have) for about the same price.

Would this work with European NES, SNES and Mega Drive games? Could I buy this in conference that it'll work with all my UK games, and I'll just need to buy a seperate UK power cable.
I checked the website in the right, but that didn't say anything about it. Are there any clones even avalibable in Europe?

Seeing as how my NES has recently broken down for good, I've been looking into getting a clone system. I agree with what Ace9921 said: show me some videos of this system in action, and if the differences aren't too bad from the original systems, then I'll buy.
All in all, this does sound like a good purchase for me. Not being able to use old controllers blows, but at least I'll have less systems taking up space (and less fire-hazard power cords everywhere).

Here's a little tidbit of information that may interest you:
The GN Twin, which uses the same ports as the FC3 Plus, makes use of NES controller signals even though the controllers look like Genesis 6-button controllers. So, with this, as NES and Super NES controllers use the same signals(but not Genesis controllers), you can hack up a Super NES/NES to GN Twin/FC3 Plus adapter using a (Super) NES controller port and a DB9 9-pin serial port(with a plastic plug). Cut part of the DB9 plug...

... and there you go! You will be able to use original Super NES and NES(depending on the controller port used) accessories on the GN Twin and FC3 Plus. For Genesis accessories, you have to hack a third or even FOURTH controller port, as there are chips inside the FC3 Plus and GN Twin that convert the NES controller signals to Genesis signals. This causes control lag in games like Super Monaco GP, as well as control lag in the Game Genie. So, that will be a bit more tedious to get done.

I wouldn't buy one. The original FC Twin was plagued with compatibility issues. I bought the Retro Duo, and found that the sound on a lot of NES games sound distorted. At first, I thought it was a faulty unit, so I exchanged it, but had the same issues. The Retro claimed in was not an emulator, and that it used genuine hardware. The color doesn't always look as crisp and vivid either. I did a lot of research on websites and even watched these guys, but turns out it was still not that great.

its not emulation, emulation is a computer simulating another piece of hardware through software, the retro duo, FC Twin/3 etc. IS real hardware, its just not PERFECT duplications of the original Nintendo stuff.
