ok, my grandfather bought a completely frame-off restored 1963 impala ss. That is my favorite car in the world. My grandfather sadly passed away septmber of 2010. He left behind a 63 impala ss a 65 impala 4 door. and 1985 monte carlo. Two 1974 Spirit of America Impala's. A 1979 oldsmobile cutlass salon 442 which is mine and i also have a video on my profile. the 63 has about 500 hp original engine with a Borg-Warner T5 transmission and 3.73 rear end gears. That is my favorite car in the world.
the guys at the body shop lost one of my baby's .. thats ok, I put original wheel covers on it anyway. .I used the baby moons in my "trash to treasure" project.
very inspiring video. Just started a body off resto on 1 with saddle int. and gold paint with white vinyl roof. If anyone knows any good sites or forums let us know cheers
I have been pleased with the por engine paint kit.ran about 50 bucks. came with a degreaser, primer etc. so far it has held up well.. good ol chevy orange!!! nothing like it!
good luck with your build. hrs upon hrs man.. but its worth it when you hear that rumble!
i love the way finished the car. that motor really looks great! what type of paint did you use on the motor.if you have time check out my 63'. great car man.
thanks. I painted the engine with an engine kit from "por 15" it had all the prep stuff, primer etc then the chevy orange and final coat. so far its held up well to the heat. I'll check our your car too.
