It's not realyy unusual for older Wilesco engines.
This is a grey base Wilesco which makes it a fairly early model.
The general consensus is that on more modern models , quality control is not as good.

Great video as usual sir!..are those gas burner's easy to get as I have a D16, and it would be nice to have the fine control that you have....cleaner too!

The two upright oil cans are Swiss Army surplus. Built like a tank and should last forever.

Wow John, you got more steam accesories than I do! I love those oil cans next to the engine and that little fire bucket on the baseplate! :D
